The exhaust tips though....
That's a staple of the Lexus F cars. I'm not a huge fan of them or the grille but overall, it's an attractive package for 2022. I'll take the goofy tips over fake ones where the exhaust dumps before the bumper any day lol.

I'll be more constructive in my negativity. It's twice as much money for a slower car. If I'm spending north of $70k, there's much cooler things out there than a 5.0 Toyota. Yes, I get that it's a good thing to have more v8's out there, but I'd rather buy a Hellcat for that money.
This car is not going to be $70K as it is an IS series. Probably in the mid $50K's. Same as a Mach 1 although in two totally different classes. You cannot get a Hellcat for that.

The current IS350's are already mid 50's. this may go for near 70k. The current RCF (V8) starts at 66k.

Actually it's not a "F" car. it is a "F Sport Performance" car. A step below full "F" series. But, no matter, if the only thing you have an issue with is exhaust tips.............

True, but it's definitely in spirit with the F car of yesteryear. The exhaust tips wouldn't keep me from buying one. The fact that I'm poor would keep me from buying it. The exhaust is just a design choice I'm not a fan of. Nearly every car has it's faults.

2021 IS350 F Sport RWD MSRP is $44,350. Add 10K for the V8. Mid $50's. Now OK you can add another 5k in options (at least) but you're still at Mach 1 money.

I highly doubt it'll be in the 50k range. I hope so, but doubt it. It's possible to order a bare bones IS 350 F sport for mid 40's but almost no dealership will carry any like that. They load up the options between 50k and 55k.

Lexus will likely clump a thousands worth of IS 350 optional features as standard for the IS 500, thus bringing the price up. It'd be cool if they made a bare bones version for cheap though. I just don't see Lexus doing it :(

You are 100% correct, if you go all in. I built an IS350 with every option including the Mark Levinson stereo and the $4200 F Sport handling package. Also added mats and all sorts of trim. Total MSRP $55K If i were ordering it I'd pass on the Mark Levinson and handling package. Just go with the nav and it comes down to $49,250. Certainly not bad for what it is.

I think it's a nice car minus the grill but you get used to it after a while. I drove my friends 250 for 2 months and was going to get a IS 350 which was extremely nice and comfortable as the 250 but canceled the sale within 3 days. I bought a 5.0 instead. Would I buy something like this? Maybe later down the road.
