It was last weekend in a 2019 Mustang GT350. It was at the Atlanta Motorsport Track. Here:

No doubt that the track is very precise and difficult for a heavy Mustang.

I just need some front negative camber modifications to go faster with stock tires.

Been around there with a good friend of mine as a passenger in his well modded GT350 and it is a very tight and technical track. You're almost always prepping for the next corner. Very few actual straights there.

So was it the fastest car there as you predicted way back when???
I think so, but I never looked at the time-sheets.

It was hard to find a place at each turn to start braking and a few turns were confusing as to setting up to a quick right or quick left turn. This was my first day at this track in their Summer Series calendar.

The T-1 left turn hairpin was interesting. The GT350 would brake well and flow down the hill and outside. It was a rare 1st gear exploding turn to 2nd gear to the left and right up the hill. I know this is important to get good lap times.

With my post-race inspection, I do need more front negative camber to get better grip.

It is the driver that needs to get the car up to it's potential. I'll work on it.

Yes,
That was my GT350 in the video's. I never dropped a wheel off course. It's still a difficult place to learn in one day.

I was the Vintage Champion in all tracks (Road Atlanta, Sebring, Road America, Watkins Glen, VIR) a few years ago.

I need to do more testing on this track. The other ones above just flow better at faster speeds in every turn.

Better yet is a few guys in a current Mustang to compete with. Nothing is better than having someone to chase to go faster.

I’ve had the pleasure of trying to keep up with Doc… he is not bragging, he is just that good behind the wheel.

Dave, Many thanks with my average driving. My next track event here is in September (19th). We should make it a GA GT350 event with other current cars as in our mountain cruses which are really good.

We lined them up and went balls of fire.

Found that out quickly. Did an Impromptu track day, no time to align. Handled well but could feel the push. Next time -3 and damn thing stuck although I need a bit more,

3 degrees of negative camber seems too much to me.

I'd go to -1.5 negative camber with some higher pressures on the rear tires to get the car to rotate faster into a turn with a quicker time to go all in on the throttle.

-3.2 front and -2.2 rear for me and front tires want more but I felt braking suffered when I went to -3.9 up front so I backed off some.

Sorry, I was at -2.5 and need more. Somewhere between 2.5 and -3
