This version ...
  • Works with the original plastic deflectors
  • Uses the OEM bolts
  • Is taller and reaches up to the level of the rotor diameter
  • Adds the inside air turning tab, next to the end of the plastic deflector
  • There is good clearance everywhere.
  • 0.090" waterjet-cut aluminum
We measured just 180F rotor temp after 20 minute sessions. Rotor with just OEM vanes was 300F.

These are for sale here in the classifieds.

These can be installed easily enough by lying on the garage floor and turning the wheel all the way left or right. You can even use your impact gun. I just use a hand nutdriver 8mm or 5/16.

Just installed these on my PP2. Very nice product, delivered fast and well packaged. Clear everything no problem. Can't wait to hit the track tomorrow to try them out.

Can I see a pic of your original ones laid over top of the new ones with the holes lined up to see how much larger they are?

Um, isn't that the top picture in Post #1 above? Even the OEM bolts are through all the holes.
Your original design that you were sell two months ago compared to this design.

Oh, I thought "original" meant the OEM plastic vanes, and not my first design. I made only 3 pairs of the original design, and I no longer have any left.

  • I deleted the "notch" at the upper vertical side, so there is a little more area there.
  • I stretched the height along this same side by about 1.5", and that directs more air to the upper side of the rotor. Again, more area.
  • I added the inside tab to help turn the air near the rotor. It clears the hub bolts and speed sensor line.
  • The long curved side is needed for clearance with any extreme wheel size, e.g. 18x11". This occurs at full lock.
  • I also located the 3 holes very precisely, and the 1st and 3rd holes are elongated a little in opposite directions to provide no interference during installation.
In summary, I'd guess the two versions have about the same overall area, but the new version has more area close to the rotor, plus there is the benefit of keeping the OEM deflector with its upper tab helping to "catch" more air.

If you really want, I can fire up the two CAD designs and capture the exact areas.

Taking the inner black rotor cover off cools even better and you loose another pound at the wheels.

I know. My dust covers were on for DD setup, and I did not pull everything off just to get photos for this thread, or the ad. I am converting to track setup in the next two weeks, and I'll post new photos sans covers if I can remember to do so. Thanks.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with "HP". Is that what they call PP now? Link?
Basically, if you see the OEM plastic deflectors on your control arms, then mine should fit.

I will have my wrench look next week when the car is at his shop. I've tagged the thread to show him. For the '21 MY, the performance option is now simply called a handling pkg.

Probably not. You can turn your wheel all the way to lock, and then lie on the floor in front of the tire to see the front lower control arm. If you see the OEM plastic vane, then these will fit. If you don't see the vane, but see the 3 bosses with 6mm holes drilled/tapped (not likely), then these will fit.

Are you planning to update your car to near Performance Package spec?

From a buyer (an instructor with AutoInterests):

" I installed the new front heat ducts [vanes] you provided. Brakes temps are almost too low now. I will never worry about too much brake heat with those installed. On testing front rotor temps I didn't get much past 300 F. "
