Since you're in Califorina you may want that carb sticker. I'm not sure if Procharger or Whipple ever got approved for that.
Aw, I'll call tomorrow. Warranty is one thing. This is a whole other issue.

the paxton is a pretty quiet blower, it could be run with a stock exhaust,

that would give you the most bang for your buck
Will my mode switches still work with the Paxton? Track, rain, sport etc?

He didn't say that. He was just saying the Paxton Centri is quiet. People have gotten the idea you want no noise and more power.
of course your warranty is gone. Pay to play

I brought up the smog thing earlier. See my previous posts.
Why do people continue to spread this BS? Your warranty is not "gone". However, anything attributable to the increase in power can be denied. If your window switch stops working it's covered, etc.

You took that way too personal. You can pretty much kiss it goodbye with a warranty and common sense goes a long way to know I was talking about powertrain. I was a Ford master tech for many years....thanks for playing

Any time you do a power adder of this magnitude, the burden of proof would essentially be on you for proving why your powertrain warranty should be honored, despite what the magnussen moss act says. The legal fight would not be worth it for an individual. Bolt ons? Different story potentially, but still same risk, with a higher likelihood of being covered. When you do stuff like FI, you have to accept the fact that quite literally anything in the engine, trans or driveline is now not going to be covered and should be prepared to pony up if you break something.

Saw an advertisement from vortech today. Their centrifugal supercharger kit is carb approved.

Correct. I posted this a few months ago

I think I like this better for a few reasons.

1: it's tuned for 91
2: it weighs less
3: install looks easier
4: I can retain strut tower brace
5: I can retain stock airbox w/ sound tube
6: engine & drivetrain will not be as stressed as a whipple would do
7: enough power to keep me happy but not so much that I get in trouble
8: more affordable

Forgetting anything?

They all say that they work with 91 octane, but they just say that to get sales. From what I've read on here with 91 octane your knock sensors will measure knocking at WOT. Seems like everyone on 91 octane ends up having to buy and pour special octane booster ($30/can) with MMT in the tank at every fill up to keep the engine from knocking.

Just something to consider.

In reading the install directions it appears the sound tube goes bye bye.

Not sure I really want to screw with that yet. Would a simple programmer do anything noticible? Maybe I'll just modding with getting rid of the stereo system

If you are wanting to get a good amount of power and retain your warranty get the roush blower setup and have it installed by a ford dealership. if im not mistaken at that point it will retain your warranty from factory (depending on the dealer I believe) People are putting down solid numbers and its a reliable kit and can use factory airbox as well if im not mistaken. itll cost more to get it installed by dealer but for what you are wanting it is possibly best bet. plus it is smog legal.

-EDIT-

so different airbox but it comes with it. 50 state legal and retains warranty

Exhaust ...

Having a 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 390 with long tube Headers and cherry bomb mufflers and now having a 2017 Ford Mustang GT with stock exhaust,
I can tell you I like the stealth exhaust. Holy cow everyone knew blocks away
when I was approaching with my 69 Mustang Mach 1.
Not cool esp. when cops are around just waiting to pounce at anything you
do wrong.

I would like a little deeper, louder exhaust on my Mustang though.

1. Roush Axlebacks w/ stock resonator.
2. Borla Touring Catback Exhaust w/ Borla resonator.
3. Borla Sport Catback Exhaust

My three choices to date.
