Congrats on being in the position you’re in at your age.
I don’t think you should feel like you are missing out should you choose to accept the money. Your dad must be super proud of you if he was willing to do that in the first place. The fact you’re buying a house in your early/mid 20’s is something to be super proud of.
I would mirror the suggestions and say either take it and be proud he wanted to do that for you, use it toward the house or plop it back in his account. Or maybe save it for the “unknown”, but I would tell him that’s your idea if you don’t use it toward the car.
