Wonder what it would be like with the vac solenoids locked out.

What surprised me is it pulls to 6900 RPM.
On the Truck/15-17 manifold it's all downhill after 6500 rpm. That's been proven to nauseum.

The '18+ truck manifold is a completely different animal. Like the difference in Mustang manifolds from Gen2 to Gen3.

I've wondered about this ever since I bought my '19 F150.

19 Ford F150 5.0L:

395 hp @5,750 rpm
400 lb.-ft. @4,500 rpm

Ford isn't gonna put a 7000 rpm intake manifold on a F150. The intake is optimised for towing.

I will say that Alex Flores tuned a 2020 F150 for E85 and claims to make it shift at 7500. In the video he said the motor pulls to there, so I would guess the intake is capable of breathing up high. I’ll see if I can dig the video up.

Trucks are meant to be low RPM with torque for towing. Mustangs are meant to be revved out. Why are you focusing on the low end again? I'd rather be shifting at 7600-7700 with an 18 manifold or a GT350. The 18 manifold has the midrange that the GT350 doesn't and is the best of both worlds. If your redline is higher than 8k, then you want a GT350 or Cobra Jet (with cams)

As it is I gained a lot of toque, it is nice to be able to use 6th gear at 60 and have power, and I lost nothing up top.

So for me this is a win.
Have you heard of a downshift?

he only write up is my first post.
actually some magazine (hotrod?) did a test with 5 different intakes a few years ago (circa 2018) where they tested all this in some detail. I don't recall which gen F150 intake they were testing but it might have been a '17.
