lol totally got judged by this older guy who was a gas attendant at wawa today. unfortunately in nj we can’t pump our own gas (absolutely stupid) and i said fill her regular please, and he was like, what, regular? don’t you mean like super? i was like no man, regular, it’s already 3.35 a gallon 🤣🤣🤣 so yeah guy totally judged me bc he asked me like two times if i said fill it regular. lol. feel like they all judge me!

fwiw i judge you as well. not much but ya, if you want a hobbled car with retarded timing and lower horsepower then i guess that's cool. think of the savings.
also, its fair to judge me for the extra coin i spend on fuel.

Hello; One of the reasons I shopped for a late model Mustang GT was the ability to use regular (87 octane) fuel. I knew there is a loss of a few HP, but I did not plan to race. There is plenty of power for driving on the street.

Thing is you can put 93 in later if needed.

agreed. ford says it can run on 87 no problem, so i lose maybe 20hp? who cares. it’s still 10000x faster than my old 3.7, my 2.7 twin turbo f150, and my 2.7 4 banger tacoma. i’m happy with it.

I believe the owners manual says 87 is fine for a GT...your car, your cash, your decision! 😀
I've only been putting in BP 93 octane.....please don't judge me

How much do you save exactly per fillup by going with 87? How many times do you fillup each week?
well i got the car two weeks ago and i’ve since put on 860 miles from 19…so i’m filling up like every other day right now.

I run 87 sometimes. I daily the car. If it makes 430 hp or something I dont care. If I'm driving to work with cruise control set I couldn't care less about the minor hp loss. It's colder out and the rear already gets loose as it is. I ran E85 over the summer but have no need for the extra power now. Run whatever you want, dont let some goof pumping your gas make you feel self conscious. Nor anyone here

What's your *expected* mileage per week driven going forward?
once the novelty wears off, it isn’t my daily. so when that happens, yeah i’ll probably be putting in 91 at minimum. i ran that a bit back with my old 3.7 when i had an mpt tune made for 87 that knocked like hell on 87 lol.

for comparison, my 2014 3.7 only had 31,900 on it when i sold it in july. i got it with 6k miles on it in 2014 so i barely put 25 on it over 7 years lol

Ok, so let's say 150 miles a week? That's filling up ever 2 weeks or so. If you save $6 per fillup, you'll be saving a whole $12 a month going 87 vs. 93.

What will you do with all that money? Make it rain quarters at the local titty bar?
