just be aware, some of the manual 18's were assembled with weak shift forks. not saying yours will break, but just have it on your radar. Maybe reach out to your dealer and check.

shift forks were replaced with redesigned ones later on, so the fix would be pretty easy.

My Stang has a build date of 12/5/17 so it's an early one. Any idea what I need to look out for if the fork is having issues?

It will just break, there's no real in between. But that's what warranty is for, I suppose. They went back to steel forks for 2019 and I haven't heard of any major issues since. As long as you don't shift it like a gorilla, you'll be fine though lol.

Just reach out to your dealer regarding the shift forks.
They should know about it.
There is a TSB for it somewhere but I'm too lazy to find it.

From what I understand the issue is it breaking. It wont really show any signs of fatigue or wear. It just snaps off, and when it does you cant shift into which ever particular gear the fork broke from.

Reach out to the dealer. Be proactive!

Last night I bought an 18 PP1, M6 with only 3k miles and a CPO car. I'm going to do my best not to void by modding it which I've done to every other sports car I've owned. I sold my 13 GT about two years ago to buy a 15 Hellcat.
