I added a Super Snake Sport to my Shelby Garage

A year ago I rode in the prototype at SA in Las Vegas. I immediately became a fan and have since began scheming on transitioning my 2019 F150 Harley Davidson into a F150 SuperSnake Sport Truck.

I like the idea of the truck but would not own one. Just not my cup of tea but pretty dang cool none the less.
I do have a question. I saw one at the Houston Auto Show last year. I looked at the brakes and noticed they were only a brake caliper cover. Not true big brakes. Are your front brakes truly big brakes or just the caliper cover. I only ask because it struck me as odd a truck at that price point had all show and no go for brakes. Maybe it was just a show truck and they cut a corner for the show and it's not is really on the SA production truck.

Believe me, they were caliper covers. I looked about 4 times because I could not believe what I was seeing.

EDIT: I just answered my own question. Baer brakes according to SA site.

• • 6 piston, red front calipers
• • Slotted rotors (front and rear)

It must have been a show truck and they figured most would not notice the caliper covers??????

On another note, I read somewhere that Carroll Shelby signed a bunch of dash plates well before his death so you have an authentic live Carroll Shelby signature on a 2020 model year well after his death. I don't know if that is true or not, but that is thinking ahead if true.

That is crazy for that price point to only have covers. The truck at the show did have a window sticker with a price north of $100,000. I want to say it may have been $125,000?

Oh I am sure they would be willing to sell me one, but I'm doubly sure my bank account would laugh at me if it tried, lol.

I can't imagine I would be successful swindling a buy one, get one free deal......

Shelby does a few different trucks.

1. Shelby F-150 Raptor
2. Shelby F-150 Super Snake which is probably what you saw
3. Shelby F-150 Super Snake Sport which is the truck in this post
4. Shelby F-150 Off-Road which looks like the F-150 Super Snake, but it is the off-road version

I believe the F-150 SuperSnake Sport trucks are built exclusively at Shelby American and the other trucks are built in Indiana by a company called Tuscany. Although, Shelby does build a few of the "Tuscany" trucks at their facility

What a beautiful machine. If I could afford one, I would have one as my daily driver, no question about it. They make them in 4X4, so I would just need tires for the winter months.
