I'm all in for it, in an Ideal world i'd havea V8 and an Electrostang.

by the wording looks to be a I4/V6 with an electric motor, if the torque is crazy which it will be and the on/off torque of an electric enegine, with consistent BHP in the 400-500bhp region, that'd be insane, proper powerhouse.

Yeah it aint no V8, aint got the noise, aint got the gurmble, the valves, the cylinders, but the performance, yeah that'll be sickeningly good.

Sorry, beyond my limits on this tablet, being a non-hybrid friendly petrol head.

It's being described as a 'bombshell'. Hardly. Be more of a bombshell of there wasn't one given that most 'GT' manufacturers already have one, and we are talking 2020.

I hope the electric is there for power and not to play the v8.mp3 through the speakers

V6 EcoBoost plus hybrid now that would would appeal to some. But I like my 6spd auto V8.

It's gonna piss off the purists, and what have 80% (plus) of us all done to our Mustangs since we got them?... we've changed the exhaust because we love the sound of a V8.

I somehow think a 'whiny' sounding Mustang with a plug on it will appeal to me about as much as root canal work.

It'll be engine + battery, so can easily drown out the noise. I suspect the portoflio will look like this:

I4/V6 with a certain literage (between 2 and 3.6) with a battery power to bring up the bhp.
V8 as currently.

now the 's750' if you can call it that, that'll have a V8 with a battery probably. And I suspect the 'gt350r' of the S650 reign will also havea battery.

As for sound, a v8 with a battery will still sound like a v8. Infact, you wont even hear the battery, they're virtually noiseless.

Also, probably 10sp auto on all of them... optionalised.

I have no problem with the Hybrid principal. But, what will it replace?
If we lose the ecoboost for the Hybrid, thats fine. The V8 could be epic too, but i am not interested unless its a manual. So far only Honda have made manual Hybrids. Maybe a 2019 Mustang will be the one to have.
