It was a long wait but I am glad I don't have to check cotus a couple times a day anymore.

My story was a pretty lucky one. Traded in my 16 tech for a 17 none R, it came in damaged and it was going take awhile to fix. My sales guy felt bad and just so happened they got an R allocation. He offered it to me if I wanted it, so of course I ordered It! All at MSRP so that makes it even better. I also bought 4 cars now from there so that might have helped.

Looking forward to your impressions.

I have put a little over a 100 miles on it since yesterday and drove it to work today. Its been about 5 or 6 months since I drove my 16 so it does feel similar but different at the same time. So far my impressions vs my 16:

The ride is a little stiffer.

The seats, compared to the sofa seats are pretty tight mid thigh, yeah I got the short thick leg thing going but I really like the back support so I am sure I will get used to it.

The tramlining is a little more noticeable but not that much.

It does feel lighter on its feet

I got to open it up a tad on my drive to work, man the grip was awesome on the 16 and the R is just more. I might have to give this to the tires but either way I got a long ways to go to find that sliding point.

I think that is it so far comparing it to my old 16. I still got to put a few things on it that had from my 16 this weekend, FP oil separators, hood struts, k&n air filter, zl1 rock guards, steeda jack rails, etc... Then drop it off Monday for clay bar and clear bra.

Happy to hear you got your R! I was the one who bought the '17 you originally ordered, they ended up replacing the front bumper cover and associated parts. The car went to Thunderhill a couple weeks ago, I could only imagine what it would be like on the Cup2s. Have fun with that thing!

Nice! I am glad it went to another forum member on here. I have only been to T-hill or actually any track on my bike so we see what its like in a car when I get some more miles on it.

Nope. Same train, more than 100 chassis numbers apart and dealer says still no show. Kind of over it :shrug:
