Nope, mine burns a 1/4 quart every 2k or so. I didn't change the factory oil until almost 3,000 miles. I think it's just tolerances more than break in.
That is oil consumption, albeit not a large amount. 1 quart every 8k.

About to hit 28k miles with 5-6k interval changes and don’t have any consumption about to go boosted myself with a ESS kit.

Trying to see if I got a good one...zero oil consumption in my 21 GT with 24k miles. Oil changed at 5k intervals, never had to add a drop. I'm getting the car bug and want to weigh my options of trading or boosting. Is it normal to have no oil consumption or is my engine on the rare side?

I do add Cera Tec Liquid Moly for the bbq tick, but that's the only thing not OEM besides an H-pipe.
Got just over 60k on my 22 GT, no change in dipstick level after every oil change as far as i can tell, i do check at the dealership before leaving and at home before leaving to get the oil change most of the times so far. I have always used the motorcraft blend provided by ford, never used ceratec (i do have 2k rattle and bbq tick, no biggie while I'm warrantying) and used the motoman break in method to seat the rings at <2 miles. Runs like a champ and hopefully will last me a few hundred thousand miles more!

It’s something but it’s really nothing.
Yeah all engines burn oil its not a completely sealed system. I think the Coyotes are generally pretty good, 1 quart every 5K or 10K is within normal imo. How you drive it makes a difference too, if you are doing lots of WOT pulls it burns more for sure. I have heard of some European engines drinking oil excessively apparently by design.

My 21 GT with ~50,000mi will use about 1/2qt over the span of my usual 5k OCI.

This is a dumb question but how do you even know your 5.0 is consuming oil without actually checking it ? I don’t check my oil level until i change my oil/filter lol.

Man I check my oil at least once a month or so in the summer driving months. So about every 1000 to 1500 miles... Just a habit. I also check my catch can about every 2500 or half way thru the oil change... It typically has a couple tablespoons of oil in it...

Woops. 24k miles. But I can bet you knew what I meant. You would rather be a smart ass instead. Impressive
It's all in good fun my guy, I'm not making fun of your typo. It's just an amusing concept to imagine one of these cars doing that many miles.

Lol check couple times between oil changes. A small oil leak could cost you your engine plus I actually enjoy looking under the hood every couple of weeks.
