Have you ever heard of GAP insurance? Must have on any car loan.
Yeah if you want to pay extra for the insurance and that will be added to your total and you will pay interest on top of it. Sounds good thought 10 years 0% $550 a month payments?

7.5 years without a date? That's not a life worth living.
^^^
LIFE NOT WORTH LIVING? HUH?

My house . Not fancy. Only 2500 sqft.
PAID FOR

My play shop full of equipment to do anything you can think of.
@ over 10,000 sq ft under roof.
w/over 1500 amps of 3 phase... PAID FOR

3 REAL Race cars. ( NO Titles or warrantys)
They are race cars with carbon fiber bodys on all 3.

plus the Best parts money can buy of them. Things like Carbon Carbon brakes @ over $12g's for simple drag race brakes.
PAID FOR.

Several acres in the country. Deer and wildlife abound daily. An 80 yr old pond up in bk spring fed.
PAID FOR.
My own personal "Burn out Pad"
for breaking in new tires. Along with nearly an acre of asphalt we call our driveway.
Paid for.

Toys like newer Turbo Razor's and
Vintage Dirt bikes.
Yes. ALL PAID FOR.

This list ISN'T EVEN the TIP... OF THE TIP..
thats ALL paid for.
SCREW BLOWERS OUT THE ARSE LATING AROUND. Like w/24 injector Holley Dominator EFI module controlled ..
( havnt even decided what to put that 1400hp on pump gas deal in yet)
its only 375" of swept volume per revolution of the rotors which are magnesium & hollow core, on the male vane rotor.

& trust me. I made up for it a few super the 7.5 yrs w/ model quality G/f's...
( dudes in my industrial park used to think i hired the same escort gurl 3 times a week @~5;30 PM tocone service me. She did my accounting as well since she was my steady g/f. I never said i didn't live my life.

I said I went 7.5 yrs without a date. Focusing on getting it done and developing a reputation in the industry 2nd to none.
How many guys herecan say they have bedn to an OEM WIND TUNNEL.??
MUCH LESS SAY THEY HELD THE RECORD IN IT 3 YRS STRAIGHT W/Ogoing bk the kast 2 yrs to defend that title. It took changes to the Carbon body molds to out do what I did @24 yrs old w/no formal Aero Education.
Thats what 7.5 yrs @ 16/18hrs a day can get you. Things money CANNOT BUY.

& my NOW... wife...Not only a hot natural auburn hair beauty.
Not only a degreed engineer..
But @5'5" & 115lbs.
( the former g/f was 5'10 @118 thou)
The wife can get attention at a dinner party...or run my Fork lift/ Backhoe/ Zero turn/& lawn tractor....& the big tractor made by Ford. 'OleHenry' we call it . She brush hoggs several acres ea yr for me. She loves it.
She Cuts ALL my Several acres of lawn weekly. Around the shop and the house & the lake.
( i haven't mowed grass myself now since 2003) never had time. But never paid anyone todo it either. )

So Yep.
As U said. Poor F#$k'in ME... LMAO
Its a life not worth living.

In your world maybe. Ive had my hand into more prof. Motorsports suspension Patents,

than most guys own cars over 400 hp.
Wait. Over 300hp.. is more likely.

Im down to only like 8 insurance'd vehicles.
My stable is rather tiny nowdays.
& i hav no children ( that i know if)
that we must supply cars to as most parents must.
Or id be double that # of vehicles prolly.

Its like running for fun.. u go up the big hills on ur way out. & coast dwn um on ur way bk ...
Wrk hard early. Coast later & do what you want when you want.
I have over 60,000 hrs of documented professional car construction time on my resume. Loved about 58,000 of it. Prolly had a few thousand I could hav lived without. But Id say if I die today its been a life well lived for myself.

& that Bullitt we bpught was just to hav a N/A driver w/A/C seats. Its fun. Not very torque'y in the mid-range. But that can be corrected. Now that Ive somewhat broken it in.
Ican tell the MT82 has to go. Its decent till u get it and the clutch heated up.

& we really thought that pp1 brake setup was more than enuff for our docile driving needs.
But doing some..ruff-ly...
~100/110mph-- to dead zero, stops...
( closed coarse if coarse..lol)
It sucks. Hunts & shutters. Might be the computer/anti-locs. Havnt dug into it enuff yet.
I can say that Rather than even try to fully diagnose it. I like the gt350 brake kit enuff to just buy that setup from Ford & install.

Its just a daily driver car..nothing more.
Certainly Not a racecar.

But u still want to play arpund with those ;
' zero to 100 to zero '
with smoother braking than what we are seeing thus far on our pp1 equipped Bullitt car.

I really thought we could not hav ever outdriven that pp1 brembo brake setup on the frontend of these cars..

I thinking I was wrong. But I may need to try a few other mag ride driving modes 1st,
just to verify what our own findings are..
on HARD HARD BRAKING.

Im really just looking for an excuse for better brakes maybe. But u can feel it in the wheel for sure. Can i get used to it?
Maybe.

Its not something we would ever send out the door of our own facility. Thats for sure.

Im already a dealer for several manufacturers like Wilwood & Baehr.

But id think Id rather try the Gt350 ones 1st.
& it gives us a another good reason to buy the upgrades needed on wheels and tires to fit those brakes front and rear.

Not dure we can use the axles that come with kit running N/A. But they can sit ir go in i guess. Other than adding more wt# i cant see a bad side to those axles.

& damb this car is heavy.

Id Take an apprentice racecar builder...

( a journeyman's wages & value in shop time ..or our own time.
Which we value...
are just to high cost...
& its just to tedious of wrk to do
wt# removal tasks, in most places on these type OEM built cars..)

a month+, w/the right tools,
to try to take any measurable wt# out of these cars. Beyond rear seat being an easy start. I cant see using that bk seat?
Can u guys?

I know a whipple is the solution to the midrange weakness...besides another rear end gear ratio.
And as an avid supporter of screw blowers ourselves on cars over 3000hp.. already.

I can see it being a big help @ a cost per acceleration rate increase~~ ratio~~
being sizable.. for the dollars spent.

i really wanted this car to be a N/A car always.
Just not sure we can get what we now seem to want,
without the huffer on top.

Well. Vs spending ridiculous money on an NA setup.
Im still pennywise today..
as much as when i had no pennys,
to be wise with.. long ago. As a pup.

So sleeving a block. Having Bryant build a crank. Pankel building rods
(or possibly Carrillo).. much better clutch & tranny. That GT500 tranny seems pretty nice. Besides the cost. To much wrk i think to get it into a car not worthy of it other than daydreaming about it.

& then doing NA u are gonna hav to be doing CNC heads & new cams.

No idea where to start on cam profiles either. That could take a long time & a lot if cores. Prolly better off buying my own cam grinder for that mess..& im not.

hell. Im trying to sell all our automotive machinery equipment now. ..not buy more.

Its really just easier to put boost in it.
I get that. Cant put my finger on why i dont want to ..
Again. Its a daily. Rain or shine. Day or nite.

Sure. I try to avoid the rain when possible.

Speaking of rain.
Anyone get moisture inside there headlite lenses yet??.
When are car was still new . Less than 25 miles..
& i had to get it to the guys doing the Clear protection film on it.

(I wasn't going to put it in our enclosed race car trailer for that trip. So just drove it.)
To his shop..20/25 miles. In some rain.

Got there. Sitting outside letting car idle.. Head lights had as much moisturize/water droplets on inside of lenses as outside.
More on inside in fact. Pretty bad actually.

Is that par for the coarse on these '19s?

In the end...
OP.
You do what you gotta do. We all will do what we gotta do as I see it..

But in 30+yrs. Ive never been able to REALLY TRUELY motivate people...& Im talking people who had real talents for race car building or at least welding and fabrication on a high end level. Usually there heart lied in another area like off road. .or something obscure like rock crawling. If they had a decent amt of talent or developed skill sets already

Most all my employees who were not already somewhat motivated.... i couldnt really increase that situation much with peo talks or by example.

I commend you for trying to do it in this video.

But we ( as shop owners) could never really elevate anyone ...

to our own personal level of enthusiasm,
or interest,
in what we did inside the business.

It just SEEMS that AN 'UNSTOPPABLE DRIVE' cannot be taught. Or mentored into anyone beyond about 16/17 yrs old. Ido think if you can get them young. You hav a chance.
But after 25-35. Not gonna happen.

Although Anthony Robin's bank accounts might say otherwise..
I wonder how many of those thousands and thousands who take is coarse's and seminars really feel they went from NO DRIVE AND AMBITION TO MORE THAN THEY COULD HANDLE.

I will say this. Im back in about 3rd gear these days on asix speed ""scale"".

Now if ... say the wife divorced me or something tragic happened. And im sitting literally in poverty and alone. With no 1 in my life.

I can. Without doubt. Gurantee that my old instinctual nature would kick in.
& id be working 80+hrs on ashort week.

& going Arse Holes and Elbows..LITERALLY BK TO HUSTLING ACROSS THE SHOP W/INTENSE URGENCY..
to do .. EVEN THE Most Meaning-less tasks.

Sending out faxes ( or emails) at 1am for parts orders.
So when I was bk in the shop by 6am .. i could go straight to wrk again and not start my day sitting down ordering components and inventory.

My vendors would call at 7am expecting the machine or an employee. Knowing full well the fax came @ nearly 2am based on time stamp. Shocked I answered ph . Thinking i hadn't went hm yet.

Hell .. we only did all niters and 40 hrs straight a few times a every 6 months..
Now with a wife. She wants u in bed by midnight. Says she cant sleep well alone.

I do miss falling asleep standing up after wrking nearly 3 days straight to get a car to a National Event on time. When there was 27 of them a yr. U were always trying to make that next race with every new car build.

I miss wrking with guys who hav the same intensity as we did. They were extremely few and far between. In 30+yrs as well.

Most got out when there kids came along.
& by there 3rd marriage. Not wanting the 4th to go bad like the others from working all the time.

If anyone has some experience w/a Tremec in a Bullitt. Id love to hear from you.

I cant live with this D4. Although i think a guy could make a Living going thru and updating them.
A perfect D4 will still not get u too a perfect tremec i dont believe.
Custom made D4 shift forks,
& 9310 nickel gears.. or not.

There an exercise in futility im starting to think. Mine is anyway.. once its heated up to a proper temperature anyhow.
Cool... its not that horrible...
Again. Maybe theclutch is more the problem. Not enuff miles on my stuff yet,
to discern it all.

Keep on motivating people Rev!@!.
U might just get me bk to 18 hrs a day..

if i keep listening.
& u improve to A. Robins levels of motivational speaking ....lol...

It’s not needed if you put enough of a down payment down or trading a car with enough positive equity when buying the new car. I haven’t purchased GAP insurance in years.
