How to tighten hand brake? (2018)

Correct me if I’m wrong but the only place to tighten the hand brake on the 2018’s is under the car

I found the nut Im supposed to tighten but the exhaust and driveshaft are in the way. It’s such a dumb place to put that nut. I don’t have any tools that long that can get to it and squeezing my hand in between all of it doesn’t work because then I don’t have any mobility in that hand due to no room.

How else can I tighten it?

- no I’m not taking it to the dealer, they’ll find a way to charge me $300 for something.

Wobble sockets and socket extensions are your friend here.
"I don't have the right tools" is always the perfect excuse to go buy more tools!

You will need a long 1/4" extension, swivel or flex joint and a deep well 10mm socket...I think. Good excuse to do a resonator delete... Once you have an H or X pipe, access is great.

2018 still has the resonator suitcase right? I'm getting ready to get rid of that thing simply to get easier access to the hand brake nut. But yes, you need swivel sockets and extensions, Harbor Freight will be your cheapest bet for what you need. I was also able to do it with a series of extensions, no ratchet.

I have an x pipe, the exhaust tube itself is in the way. It’s not the stock exhaust. It being 3inch all the way through makes it harder to reach in there. I’ll try the multiple extensions
