Down the road, I'm interested in adding carbon fiber trim pieces to my car. But after researching a base CF front splitter, I'd like it to be more along the lines of the PP's splitter. After further research, I found that I can't simply get a PP front splitter and replace my current one. Apparently, I have to get the PP belly pan. Can anyone confirm?

If so, is anyone selling their PP belly pan or know anyone who is?

Thanks,
Daniel

The 50 year anniversary splitter looks just like the PP splitter. The best part is that it will mount the standard belly pan.

That may be true for the ACTUAL 50th anniversary limited edition car, but I only have the 50th Anniversary appearance package car. So I do not have the PP splitter.

I have the CF spoiler from Trufiber. I didn't have the PP to begin with so I had to order the PP belly pan through Levittown Ford.

Is it only the belly pan that I need in order to get the PP splitter to fit?

Correct. I did this on my EcoBoost PP which is the same as a non PP GT. You may need to notch the wheel liners to match some ducting present on the GTPP belly pan, but that's easily done.

I'd recommend sourcing the pan locally if you can, or at least cost it out, since shipping on it is usually over $100 (or was for me).

Thanks for the advice. I'll look into it. I am trying to source a belly pan locally. Hopefully some results start to show. As long as I can get it done before Ponies at the Pike, I should be alright.

Hey Daniel, I am in the same boat, but am considering the California Special splitter instead of the PP. From my understanding, you can get the same aggressive look without having to change your non-PP belly pan.

Edit: In fact, this guy kindly provided all the required info http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50994&highlight=California+special+splitter
Wow, that does look good. A nice work around for non-PP cars to get a similarly aggressive front splitter.

FYI...just ordered a CS splitter from my dealer. 7-10 day wait but they are usually early :)

Helpful hint: Ask yours if they price match the forum vendors' offers! ;)
(Must be from fordparts.com)
I just learned this highly valuable little tip today...

My trusty mechanic installed my CS splitter today.
('You should lower it a few inches', he says  Right.)
