How to post PLAIN TEXT links to youtube videos? (disable the auto-embedding?)

It seems like whenever I want to include a link to a youtube video within a post, this forum detects it and converts it to embed the video within the forum post. Often, I do not want this to happen, I only want the plain text URL to be in the post. How do I keep the forum from automatically embedding media links in a post?
