Hey guys! I was wondering if anything knew of any decent quick fix and products I could buy to fix the hanger that hold up the muffler to my exhaust without welding. Wondering if this could be done. As always appreciate the feedback!

How are both of those hanging down like that?

The only product that comes to mind “without welding” would be JB Weld. However you would need to hold those parts in place to apply the product and also to keep the hangers from coming off before the dry time is complete.

A muffler shop shouldn’t charge you any more than $50-$100 to weld those properly.

I’ve been getting quoted in the $200 range which is why I was wondering if there was an alternative. Appreciate the feedback brother! Probably just gotta call more shops

Yea, I agree, that’s way out of line for such a simple fix with a shop having access to a lift and welder

O/p take your car in for an oil change , and ask while it is on the lift, if they can roll the mig welder over and give the hangers a few zaps. to re-weld them to the mufflers.
Then on way home, stop at your fav. auto parts store and get some VHT silver high temp paint, and hit the welds with it, so they don't rust.
This repair should not cost more than 50 bucks if car is already on a lift. and paint is under 10
This is ASSUMING the hanger coming loose did not leave a hole in the muffler case. If it did, then 200 bones isn't out of line.

Can you post a picture of what the hangers look like from under the vehicle? I just don't see how this could have happened on both sides.

Find a new shop, $200?!? Go to a local small mechanics shop. My muffler shop cut of the resonator, fit my new Borla mid pipe for $60, just sayin...

If those parts are hanging down ,whats holding mufflers in place in the grommets ? First look at it ,looks like the mufflers are upside or something this is tripping me out .

Being upside down makes sense I guess. The tips are the right way though.

Whatever it is, it ain't right. Maybe that muffler shop quote was for more than a little welding. I can only imagine what it looks like under there...prolly ain't pretty.

I would definitely fix or cut thoes off sooner then later before they get caught up on something.
