How to clean the CAI Filter?

How are you guys cleaning you CAI filter?

I installed a steeda CaI last month and now its all black . i am guessing it needs to be cleaned so i want to know the best possible way of doing it.

depend. Is it oil filter (my last K&N use this) or foam? If foam, you can lets it seat in soap water then rinse with water and let it dry. If oil filter, cleaning process is the same but you need to apply that special oil from which ever brand you buy it from and let it seat for a few hours.

I usually clean it and lets it seat over night and put them back in the morning. Make sure they are 100% dry.

How often do you guys clean your filters?

I do mine once a year but, I usually only put on 5K miles. It's really based on how dirty it gets. I'm sure for the guy in Dubai, due to the desert conditions, will have to do it more frequently.

Ah, dude I was looking at how freaking sandy it was in there and wondering what the hell was going on with your driving habits! Then I see that you're in DUBAI. Man, people don't know sheet about the harshness of real sand deserts. People in Arizona think they know, but they don't know a talc desert.
