I know what you mean. I have 5 children and we homeschooled them which meant a single income family. We've had a couple of minivans through the years and some Honda Fits for most of the kids and ourselves when they got older and we didn't need the van anymore. I still have a Fit for economy but love taking the GT out. We'll be moving to the mainland soon and I'm excited to be able to really make use of the power of the car on the freeways there (our "freeways" range from 45 mph to 60 mph max but those are out in the more rural areas).Turning 65 this June. My 2019 velocity blue GT PP1 is the first new car I have ever owned. After raising 4 kids, paying bills and just getting by, I was able to buy my dream car when I retired at 60 yrs old. I had no idea just how happy and fulfilled this car could make me. When ever I drive it I fill like the luckiest guy alive.
