Hi from over the pond, 79 coming June, had a 65 289 back in 1970 my first "yank", followed by a succession of various American cars, early Olds 98, Mercury Montego, 64 Chevvy Impala convertible and many more, wish I still them all, anyhow long story short few years back restored a 30 Model A and that led to my yearning for another Mustang. Bought a Tripple yellow GT swiftly followed by a Silver ragtop GT. Got sucked into the EV craze sold them bought a Mach E. Enthusiasm waned very quick that was swapped for a White Gt, never took to that, it was a stick job, didn't fit, dealer said he had a Mach E gt due in fully loaded 480bhp in black, had to do it, awesome car, called it The Dark Destroyer, surprised a lot of people with its acceleration. Again, alas I missed the V8, not having either the space or the funds to keep the E, I would have loved to keep it, I now have a new '22 GT convertible, auto in Carbonised Grey.

Just turned 80 on Superbowl Sunday, had a 67 GT 390 4 speed followed by a 70 Mach 1 Drag Pack automatic back in the day, but then I discovered Corvettes...8 Corvettes later (plus other various "weapons grade" cars) here I am back in a Mustang and loving it, the dogs like it too.

Where I come from we started Pumping Iron around 17/18, 16 oz curls to be exact.

If I remember correctly, it tasted like carbonated bilge water, but it was $6.00 a case.
It was real beer. That was probably back before they reformulated it to please the masses.

Hi - Age 81 here. First Mustang ever and very happy with it. I enjoy rowing thru the gears, but no risky behavior at my age. I was interested to hear the road noise comments. I was eventually going to ask the Forum for suggestions on the quietest tire available, but I’m only @ 16,000 miles on the Pilot Sport 4 S tires that came on the car. Maybe less noise is not possible via different tires. Fortunately, or unfortunately in this case, my octogenarian hearing is still acute. On the other hand my memory is not acute but I seem to recall a similar posting on this age subject previously…

In 1971 we had the 3.2 club at Fort Cambell Kentucky. Limited me and my barracks to 3.2 percent beer 🍺. We only got that after we passed the two week quarantine .

I'm just curious as to how many of us "old guys" are on this forum driving GTs whether boosted or plain stock NA models. I just turned 70 and a lot of the guys in my current state (soon to change) seem to be much younger (many in the 30-40 range though some are in the 20's which surprises me as to where they're getting the bucks to buy these cars). I had to wait until I retired with the children out of the house before I actually bought my "retirement" car that I've wanted for a long, long time. Thanks!
Turning 65 this June. My 2019 velocity blue GT PP1 is the first new car I have ever owned. After raising 4 kids, paying bills and just getting by, I was able to buy my dream car when I retired at 60 yrs old. I had no idea just how happy and fulfilled this car could make me. When ever I drive it I fill like the luckiest guy alive.

Yes I am.
My GT is my daily driver including rain unless there is snow or salty wet roads. (Subary Legacy 3.6 is my backup, with snow tires in winter.)
I used to have a 2000 GT I bought in 2002 with <30,000 miles for $10,000, still under warranty. The salesman said that all the kids who wanted to buy it couldn't afford the insurance.
It looked like this,

Curious you're finding the Michelins noisy. I went from the factory Pirellis to Pilot Sport all season 4 and found a huge drop in road noise. But I stuck with the 18" wheels and higher sidewall tires keep the ride from getting harsh. Did you ditch the sound tube? It ads a lot of annoying noise in the cabin.

Iron and Vinne's Pizza, you either love it or hate it. Love my V pie, and could tolerate the original Iron from Pittsburgh Brewing Co. I don't think I've had the new stuff.
