Looking for a GT Coupe 10speed auto with 301a. With Xplan and incentives ($1750) i can get one for ~$37700 + Taxes. Can I do much better than that?

I know there are some dealers who do below invoice orders on here for the 2022 but I'm in California so driving the car back is too much for me imo.

Could I get a better deal on a 2021 once a couple 2022s start rolling into dealer lots?

Under normal conditions, that would be wise thinking. Today's market is anything but normal. Finding a car on the lot with the options you want is not as easy as it used to be, at least it's not in North Texas. Good luck with your purchase though.

I got that exact setup for 36.4, and the dealer has a few like that still. But it's on the east coast, and with shipping you're probably around the same price as your local one. That's a solid deal especially in today's world where you see people trying to get low 40s for their used GTs.

Local Houston search shows many available at sticker up to $1500 off. That's the net. I have a strong feeling when you go in the door pricing will change.

Ford is building 21s still. Just a 1 month break.

Premium PP1 and PP2 cars are harder to find and come at a premium.

Seem to be lots of Base GTs at a reasonable price given the times.

Errr. They are building 22's now. There are plenty of leftover '21 GTs near me and I see them advertised at a discount. Helps that nobody wants to buy mustangs in the middle of winter too.

No one is selling at a discount near me. Gone into two dealerships and they wouldn't budge. Contacted a couple others and they wouldnt give me more than 500 off MSRP :| . I don't know who's going to buy a 21 at msrp at this point so not sure if I should wait :/ and see if they try to get rid of these in a month or two.

Same for my area. $500 discount is the most I’ve seen but the cars aren’t selling. All of the used 2019-2021s are sitting for months even with gradual price reductions. Dealers are starting to offer less for used cars so I’m hoping we start to see a slow decrease in prices.

2022's. I have one in my garage now. Built 1/11/22.
I was only going by their order page. Likely you build a 2021 and it's going to be a 2022.

Their IT department must be lagging.

You are correct. The top tier GTs are a bit hard to find and are bringing premium prices.

But overall the overpriced cars are sitting for months.

Maybe clearance prices are just around the corner?

My local dealer has sixteen 2021 (new) Mustangs on their lot, all marked up well above MSRP. I check often, and they are selling at a snail's pace. I imagine the dealer is going to have to start soon lowering those prices, because it might start looking silly having so much of last year's model on the lot, especially when the 2022s are starting to hit the streets.

It's a problem, because the 2021 ordering isn't accurate for a 2022. Not even the colors are the same.
