Mine howls, new bearings didn't fix it. Would an iron one not howl?
I swapped to the iron diff because the aluminum one howled like crazy after 40,000 miles. The iron one has been holding up good and no howl

I need to put an ignore on you, as I end up spending money when I ask you questions. I put my two piece back in and it is quiet enough for the wife now. I'll start looking for an iron, at some point I figured the clutches will wear and might get the 3.15 torsen.

6R80 is stout. Very. Once you are at around 700lb-ft input torque, increasing shift pressures too much, can cause some occasional breakage. Once I had an aggressive shifting calibration, my stock TC shattered. 2 weeks later after putting a Circle-D in, my intermediate shaft snapped.

Stock or slightly higher shift pressure will make stock 6R80's hold upwards of 900whp/800lb-ft

2+ years of 643 RWHP here. Around 18k miles boosted now, with the car only seeing the dragstrip (and recently Rocky Mountain Race Week), with -0- drivetrain issues. Still running the stock Whipple tune.

I do have the GT350 driver side axle shaft installed, passenger is stock.

I run Mickey Thompson E/T Street SS's (1.6 60' last time out), and Nitto NT05's for daily use. So far, knock on wood, the entire powertrain has been solid. I have an auto (6r80) car.
