I mean, it would be nice if the car would live for 6 years idk . ive only had it for one year . But I heard safe hp limit is 750 . I'm just wondering if you guys push past that limit and for how long has that been working for you on the fully stock block?
It is incorrect to focus on a fixed HP number when having this discussion. While any one variable "could" make or BREAK your precious ride, it is more important to understand all the variables. Quality of the tune, timing, environmental conditions, altitude, how hard you drive the car, how far you drive the car, how much risk you are willing to take.

What is your goal? HP to hang on the wall or a Daily driver that makes you smile and comfort in knowing it will not blow up under you and not making you wonder why you squeezed the extra 50 from it just to have it hang on a wall? If you are racing for slips on the street...errrr track then you likely would not be asking these questions :)

Cheers!

I would just like to have a daily driver that is a monster. of course still reliable and that will last . I wouldn't want to risk destroying the car , but what would safe be ? VMP has safely told me 750hp . I only use the car for some aggressive highway pulls and drives here and there. otherwise just driving to my daily commutes

900WHP Gen 3 47 1/4 mile passes this season and multiple dyno sessions for tuning. No problems here. Edit - Stock Block. Only internal mods are OPG and CS upgrade.
II got 200ish passes out of my 15 at 800whp. Before it bent a rod on a top end highway run. I was ok with that considering the amount of abuse.

Leave your car stock.. it wont hold past stock horsepower

This x1000 If he is on here asking these questions and what he "heard" is his rebuttal to what people are saying............ Stock block will hold 435hp

On Yolo YT channel today (playing this very second) its him talking about 1000hp stock motors. even showing a gen2.. no one really runs around on 1000whp, they turn it down to lower power when driving, but i know 3 in Vegas alone 1000+ daily driven for couple years now.

Yea. I drive like an old lady on the street. I don't get any traction with my street tire setup and I don't want to go to jail. Lol.

Just wondering the highest and most power you guys are putting through the stock block? I've heard 750hp is a safe number, but what's the most you guys are running?
At that power level you'll have a "1 pull wonder". You wouldn't be able to sustain said power level over a 20 minute track day session like a GT500 would.

84 passes so far in my 950-1000whp 18 Whipple car. 34 while stock, 50 while boosted. Best is 9.3 @ 154mph (6rib life -_- slipping on launch)... it’s all about maintenance, supporting mods, and not trying to really hurt it. 1/4 mile passes are easier on it then long highway pulls. I don’t do roll racing or highway pulls. I’ve put 22k miles on it as welll...

The limiting factor of Gen3s is the lack of iron liners, no? And what are the next 3 items on the list? Just curious. But besides that, many stock engines crap out on stock power, so you need to start with a good engine to begin with, no? Ha ha.

I’ve heard of more failed gen2 blocks than gen3. Gen3 has bore supports where the gen2 bores failed.

Holy LOL. If your make south of 1100 wheel on a gen 2 you're fine. You're fine.. You're just fine. Also if you look at those failures, 99.99999999% had nothing to do with the block/heads. It's usually boost pressure overpowering the springs, drop a valve, carnage. Don't matter gen1, 2 or 3.
