The total can include the purchase price + mods, any combination in between, rough estimates, exacts, approximates, whatever.

I was counting up how much I've spent since 2018. I landed around $27,382.37 (not including the purchase price). I love my car but it makes me a little physically ill thinking about it:crackup:.

I think for most people it's better not to think too much about it

As for me? Probably less than $500 (not including purchase price obviously). But I've also had it only 2 weeks tomorrow :giggle:

My wife asked me that question and I changed the subject lol. Going in for XPEL PPF and full Ceramic coating in two weeks, so now that's a few thousand $$ more added.

I don't count it, but it'd be a pretty good pile, running out of room for the parts I've replaced. I just buy what I want and hope it brings the lap times down a bit more.

I'm the other end of the scale and keep track of every penny....

Sticker $40,385
Out the door with tax and tags $36,587

Actual spent on mods $3,177.65
Value of mods $14,642.51

The value of mods is to make me feel better because of smart shopping... for example paid $1,201 delivered for my almost-new PP2 wheels when the cheapest new price I could find was $2,800. The actual spent also includes personal "fund raising" that I did to generate some cash to spend on the car... selling stuff on Ebay from the attic, etc.

I did most of the work myself but don't count labor cost savings. Too much of a moving target.

Iā€™d say right around $4,000

Wheels
Tires
Springs
Suspension goodies
Misc cosmetic mods
Intake filter
Catback
Headers

Iā€™m sure Iā€™m missing some stuff, but the car drives night and day different from when I got it.

All labor was done by myself which helped save a few thousand Iā€™m sure.

$40k for car roughly + $1750 = $41,750

I'm done with mods - Just routine maintenance now.

Got it for less than 10. Shipped + auction fees were another 2. Suspension was 5, Wheels+Tires were 3. Cage and safety stuff was 4.
Beating/hanging cars 5x the money feels good, not gonna lie.
