Firestone Indy 500's have served me well. Affordable and predictable handle and straight line traction.MT street comps don’t hook every well.
If you want a good tread wear daily tire, and want to keep cost down, look at Nitto G2.
Yep, also great daily option.Firestone Indy 500's have served me well. Affordable and predictable handle and straight line traction.
Well I’m back to the drawing board lol. It was such a great deal too. 4 20x10 wheels, 4 tires, sensor, lug nuts, mount and balance and free delivery for $1,400. I was just going to get rear wheels and tires even if it’s going to look to sets of wheels but that deal was awesome so I was almost dead set.MT street comps don’t hook every well.

I wouldn't waste your time with anything less than a drag radial for the power you will be looking at, check out the Nitto NT05R and the NT555R. I made a mistake of trying summer only tires for my 2014 paxton supercharged 5.0. You will have tons of trouble hooking, especially without suspension upgrades. It isn't safe and there is no point to have all the power without having some solid traction, especially since you don't daily drive it. On my 2018 whipple car I have the NT05R's as soon as it stops raining here I will be letting them rip. I would consider doing some light suspension upgrades to eliminate wheel hop. I have a BMR package installed that is supposed to eliminate wheel hop and keep you planted and if the tires do cut loose you wont flail all over the road. Fishtailing at 60+ is incredibly scary and I learned the hard way that eliminating wheel hop and getting the proper tires for the power level is a must. That tire was actually cheaper than Nitto 555 G2 but Firestone doesn’t even have it in my state smh.
I do plan on getting a cradle bushing lockout kit and rear lca vertical link with poly spherical bushings. Thanks for the heads up and I don’t plan on driving this car daily.I wouldn't waste your time with anything less than a drag radial for the power you will be looking at, check out the Nitto NT05R and the NT555R. Just wanted to pass on this knowledge, I wish someone would have told me all this when I added forced induction to the 14, 5.0. Doing it right on my 2018.
Yeah I pieced mine together too. Honestly the one item that made a HUGE difference was the Support braces.Lol appreciate
it bud but I’ll pass on that package for now. I can piece that together. I’m already pretty deep in the pockets and punched some holes already. I can install the lca’s and cradle lockout kit next month though.
That’s actually easy to install. At first I thought it’s going to be welded.Yeah I pieced mine together too. Honestly the one item that made a HUGE difference was the Support braces.
