Still too early to trade in. I'll wait for the 2021 model or so before I decide on upgrading.

Not so fast...

I had 2 S550's with a Whipple, both made over 700whp. I have multiple friends with the same car, making over 700whp.

I am able to beat one of them, on a roll or from a dig.

I cannot beat the other one on a roll, he gradually pulls away from me. He has a best 1/4 mile time of 11.1 on drag radials. the '18 A10 should run in the 11's on drag radials.

DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THIS NEW A10. I am speaking from experience...
There is something wrong with your friends 700+rwhp car. Or he just can't drive for shit. Any 700+ rwhp 15-17 car should be trapping easily 130+. Typical A10 cars are what, 115-116? That's a buslength all day long.

The A10 is good, but come on, pulling on a 700 WHP GT...I don't think so. Your buddy can't drive if his life depended on it

Not saying it didn't happen. Just saying all things equal you're getting gapped.

Please tell the one buddy you beat with 700+ rwhp to have his car checked out...lol. Or tell him to shift out of 6th gear:D

These 18+ A10 guys are gonna start thinking a 15-17 car needs 800rwhp to beat them with how deep the shit is around here...lol

How do you only have 6000 miles on your car though man? I couldn't stay out of my 16 and I am having a even harder time staying out of the 18 I think because the auto makes it TOO versatile. When I got my 16 I told myself (only going to put between 10-12k a year on it since I have a DD for work). Ended up averaging a little over 15k for each year.
To be honest, I don't drive it all that much, only on nice weekends and the occasional Friday work day.

Sometimes I wonder why I bought it, although I've always had a Mustang around. My real passion is motorcycles (I own several), which get the nod most of the time otherwise when it's nice.

Of course, I'm in MN too, where we have winter for 5 months.....

I like how you reference all auto users as some sort of delusional idiot. You truly seem envious at the fact that you don't have an a10. It's cool bro you'll still fit in. You'll just be a few car lengths behind wishing you too upgraded to the most AMAZING auto transmission ever developed. Ferrari owners even envious us now.

I've been on SVTP since 2003, only a little after I started driving and nope, never owned a Ford (besides my first vehicle which was an old step bed F150) prior to 2016. I just always lusted over the Cobras but at the time was never in the position to own one. I just became a regular there because it was always one of the best forums for bs'ing.
Well at least I recognized the SN, lol. I joined SVTP when I got my first terminator back in 2004. That said, you missed out, but more because your relatively local and MACA was badass back in the day. As for the car...eh, the cobras were cool but the S550 is a nicer car in every way. Both of my cobras are long gone, but I never did sell my fox...

I do miss the whine of the eaton though. That always did sound cool.

Keeping the 16. I cannot get past the front end of the 18. Personal preference for sure. See you at the S650 maybe.

I keep my '17. Makes no financial sense to me.

Also, '18 frontend - if it is a source for so many flames - there IS something wrong with one. Stop convincing yourself there is not. I do not like it at either - pictures or in person. Nice car, fast car, better car, but not a Mustang.
