Any good driving roads in Myrtle Beach?
During day/evening everyone meets up at a huge parking lot with sponsors and vendors. Night time a lot of people meet up and drive ocean boulevard to see all the cars. That's an every weekend thing here though but mustang week is just all types of mustangs. If memory serves me correct the local drag strip puts on an event a couple nights that week.

As for roads just to drive there are back roads that are fun but not right in Myrtle.

Right. Im not much of a cars and coffee kind of guy. I'd be interested in a good road trip for some great driving roads.

I'm one, but like many others I have been waiting for a long time. My car is built and just sitting at the plant "in production". It has been over and back to Penske TWO times and still not released. I have owned 10 previous mustangs and numerous Fords, but this whole process might turn me off to the entire brand.

One would tend to think that paying $ 10,000.00 for painted stripes that it should have been done right the first time, backlog is one issue but to send a Shelby out the door with a substandard stripe job and think that Ford won't catch is upon incoming inspection is truly LAZY on Penske's part. Their work ethic is falling way off par. I really feel for the people that got caught in this shit storm. Chris

I agree 100%. One would think that Ford has their own quality control team at Penske. Most companies that have items manufactured by outside sources have a QC team that overlooks the production at the site.

I'll say this, I am surprised our cars were sent to Penske twice. Penske normally does great work. They are the go to specialists for show cars for all the manufacturers in Detroit. I can understand why Ford would kick our cars back. I do believe they want this special $10K option to be perfect. However there were many cars that got kicked back and that tells me something. It seems there is a problem over at Penske and I would agree that there needs to be some kind of supervision or QC. Shipping cars back and forth and causing serious delays is bad for everyone involved. My frustration with it was the whole attitude behind it. The only way I knew what was going on was because of this forum. A magical shipping invoice for United Road appeared in my PM box describing the 2X round trip to Penske. You wont get any info from Ford or Ford Performance. I sort of get that too, but wouldn't you think that if you were screwed over the first time, they would get you right in and out the second time at Penske? Nope, back of the 2 week line for you!

I totally get all your frustrations, even without penske I had a taste of that myself. My car was scheduled to be build originally last week of March, then a week after I got that news the plants shut down. Lovely timing.

I will say, the car is so worth it and I doubt any GT500 owner will be turned off Ford after they own it for a while and drive it.
