Wondering if anyone knows how it takes for a car to arrive from Build date to Dealer? Thanks.

Well, I'm buying a car my dealer ordered on 10/19/20 and according to COTUS it's due to arrive on 3/17/21. I didn't order the car, but it does appear to be a special order (green window sticker) from the dealer so I have no idea if that factors into the length of time it's taking.

It can vary quite a bit depending on options and if there are any material holds.
For example, I ordered my '15 on 1/2/2015 and due to material holds it wasn't built until 3/4/15 (48 days behind schedule), and then took nearly a month to be delivered on 4/3/15.
I've heard of cars being delivered in half the time I took mine, or much longer.....

It took 4 weeks for delivery? Damn! What did they do push the car the whole way?

No kidding. It was aggravating to say the least, and we're just talking Michigan to Minnesota in my case. It took a week just for it to move from a holding lot in the Twin Cities and make its way to my dealer; I can make the drive from my house to that location in an hour and a half.

If my order stays on schedule it will be 45 days. Dealers is in the SF Bay area. There appeared to be a hiccup early on. Not sure if it was a quality-hold or shipping delay.

My order was 2/2 with original build date 4/9 changed to 3/29.

How do you guys check on the build date? I only received an email from Ford once. Then dealer said it was pushed forward one week, which is I guess good news. But the tracking website still does not display anything certain, it merely says it's scheduled.

Yes, Ford sent me an email changing the Build date. But on the tracking website it shows nothing.
