I guess each guy on the assembly line had a different Idea of what car they were putting together, not quiet as good as my last GT PP1 that Came with a MACH1 labeled strut brace from the same factory
Spash guard RS missing/broken, hard to see on phone.

Pappagray, What were the options that you got? What specs did it have that you wanted?
Base car. Handling Package and Cloth recaro seats. It does also have navigation which is silly for any car that has carplay.

Handling Pack and Cloth Recaros were an absolute must have as I will be tracking it frequently.

Pretty much what I suspected you'd get for tracking.
Yeah, I can't understand the navigation either other than a way of getting an extra $1,000 out of buyers.
Somebody was thinking when they ordered that car.

A long time ago I learned a lesson with these cars. The navigation equipped cars have a larger dedicated internal memory which makes the relatively unpleasant and sometimes painful experience of updating the sync software more stable, reliable and more direct. Itā€™s was always a PIA with the non nav cars unless itā€™s already been addressed and Iā€™m unaware.

My long and curcuitous route in and out of the track game, which led to my unexpected Mach 1 a couple days ago....

First got into tracking when I traded in my 2010 Transformers Edition Camaro for a 2009 Porsche 911 Carrera.

Did a half dozen track days in the year and a half I had it, but since it was a few years old when I bought it, I got the itch for that new car smell. Intended to buy a new Porsche Cayman S, but impulsively ended up with this 2015 Vette instead.

Enjoyed the Vette even more than the 911 on the track, but after only a year I traded it in on a family car since we were doing a ton of traveling while my son competed in martial arts.

Enjoyed traveling in our 2016 Jaguar XJL Portfolio, but really missed the track. So once my son moved on to college and we stopped traveling, I bought this 2019 Grand Sport.

By far, this was my favorite car ever - both in looks and track performance. However...one year later we bought a house on 18 acres in the country (with a long gravel driveway). So my son took away my baby and put me into this 2020 F150.

That brings us to this past Thursday. Iā€™m sitting home minding my own business when my son texts me a photo of the new red Mach 1 (HP/6-speed) their dealership just got. Had no intentions of getting rid of my truck. None. And red was far down my list of Mustang colors(though I like red on some cars - just wasnā€™t a fan of red Mustangs). After some joking around, he told me theyā€™d give me $3K more than I paid for my truck new last year. And sticker, no add ons, for the Mach 1. And throw in leather seats. I told him Iā€™d come by and check it out, but really didnā€™t like the red.

48 hours later itā€™s sitting in my driveway. I knew NOTHING about the new Mach 1 before he texted me. Reading the reviews got my attention. Test driving it did the trick. Driving it felt closer to my previous Grand Sport than it did to my other sonā€™s ā€˜17 California Special. Once I realized it was a TRUE track car, I couldnā€™t pass up the great deal.

@Thumpa Did the dealer install the front wheel moldings and additional front splitter after the pictures were taken?

Congrats on the nice new rides! Good deals too šŸ‘

I feel like this thread is going to trigger some of the people waiting for their ordered M1s.

Iā€™m going today for the front splitter. They just didnā€™t have it on because it would drag if they drove it into the showroom. And service was closed when I bought it Saturday, and thereā€™s no way I wasnā€™t going home in it.

Do the front wheel moldings come standard with the handling package? Those werenā€™t mentioned - I was already looking dor aftermarket ones to add.

Yes they are. The wing Gurnee flap, and front fender extension are both dealer installed. They come in the car on delivery

Jimmy Dean, any chance youā€™re the guy on TIgerDroppings that ordered one in March?
