Question about radiators, the base and performanxe pack, I know they are 1 inch and 1.5 inch wide, mishimoto is 2 inch wide

are the radiators going to stick out further in back? Or is there an empty space in front of my radiator.

jusr curious. In my mind, they Should all sit the same distance back in engine bay forthings to clip on etc and fit which means mine simply has a spacein front of it, where the pp radiator will be lessopen space?

and assuming mishimoto would simply fill it all out, but the back of all radiators should be at the same spot? Meaning no closer to intakes etc

Well I found out, holy shit my radiator is tiny.
Now I know the new one will simply fill the space between and end should stay same so won’t hit my intake pipe

Just make certain you're ordering an EcoBoost Mustang specific radiator. There's no way to run a GT radiator in the EcoBoost Mustang without having a custom intercooler & full custom charge pipes made. The EBM radiators are about 3.5" - 4" shorter than GT units bc of the rear inlet and outlet pipes on the EBM intercooler needing to pass through at the bottom of the radiator.

That's good information about the GT radiator! Are the pull thru cooling fans also different? And can you share the performance specs with us?? Thanks!

I believe the fan assemblies to be the same, although I haven't specifically tested that. I can look today at the shop. I have my GT and a customer's EcoBoost torn apart, lol.

If I was going to do this job without removing the bumper (first off, I wouldn't), I would do the following:

-Pull radiator cover - 8 plastic clips
-Pull belly pan - 7mm screws, couple plastic clips
-Get a bucket, a small hose, and a filtered funnel - place hose on nipple at discharge port on bottom of passenger side of radiator, place hose end into filtered funnel, place filtered funnel into bucket, open petcock on radiator
-Pull factory coolant reservoir - 2 10mm bolts, several hose clamps (use large channel locks)
-Remove radiator hold downs - 2 10mms each side
-Disconnect electrical plug on fan assembly
-Remove cold air intake if it's in the way
-Disconnect radiator hoses at bottom driver's side & top passenger side (again use the large channel locks)

Then you're ready to wiggle the radiator/fans outta the car. There's a few clips that slide the radiator or ac condenser into the fan assembly, you'll need to wiggle those out and pull up safely.

I'm going from memory here, but that's about the whole gist of the job for the removal. Hope that helps!

That’s exactly what the video said to do. Hoping I can pass intake but I will move if needed be. It’s only 7 an hour so no biggie if takes awhile. I bought 3 gallons premix from ford. 14 a gallon, not bad at all

See my CPE intercooler other than the body, has the removable brackets that attaches to radiator, I can disconnect those with 4 bolts and then stock radiator should lift out as it’s no longer connected to oem.

I will set mishimoto down, without the arms attached, get it where needs to be, then I can simply attach radiator arms/CPE brackets while under belly pan.

just hope my radiator doesn’t leak.I will be mad

Legit one of my favorite pieces in the shop, lol. I funnel coolant coming out and into the bucket. I then filter it coming out of the bucket into a coolant canister (I freak everyone out because I use an old Rain X Windshield Washer Fluid bottle, lol) for storage during the job completion (also makes refilling easier later). Then I filter it again going back into the car. 👨‍🔧👌

I reuse the factory coolant unless it's deemed unusable for some reason (IE: head gasket failure, etc).

Old is orange-current.
New is yellow

I’m dumping, and just refilling. Since they are mixable
