Thank you!

It's a pretty special unit. Serial #001 RTR Spec5. This was their "hero car" that they used for SEMA and to obtain the Ford "OEM Plus" designation.

I have the Performance Pack. Once it Warms up, I never see temps below 185.
Around town, mine would run around the 185 mark (+/-10). My problem is at the track. I launch at 2500 rpm with temps (I'm guessing) north of 200 degrees and a confirmed temp of 235 once I returned to my pit (I really need a data logger!). My hood gets so hot, I burn myself trying to open it!

Mine stays there, but when I wot’ It’s dipping to 165, then climbs back up. It’s like a massive dump on coolant drops 20 degrees. Is that too much? Driving around is perfectly fine. But it’s 30-40* so the coolant is super chilled when it dumps it in.

lol just don’t want a cracked head from too cool of coolant. I’m sure summer would be 175-185 on wot

Back in the day, when I drove my 1st Mustang day and night, summer and winter... I would put a piece of cardboard in front of the radiator! (mostly, to get my heater to put out lurk warm air, while ice cold air came up thru the holes in the floor.) It did bring the motor up to operating temperature quickly and keep it there as long as you were moving. But you had to keep your eye on your temp gauge and have a buddy with you who was willing to jump out and remove the blockage if needed... lol!
