I'm planning to receive a hood for my Mustang from Virginia to California.

Apparently, Greyhound recently changed the policy and restricted the maximum dimension so that the package (64 x 70 x 7) won't be accepted.

What other option are available with Greyhound now out of the list? I expect to pay about $200 for the service.

Ugh, freight across two mountain ranges sounds expensive. Whats so special about the Virginia hood?

You can also try shipping via Greyhound, no kidding at all. Greyhound is capable of shipping very large items for decent pricing. You’ll have to call them to see what their capacity is and what it will run.

The downside is, they will not deliver to anywhere except to their Depots. You will have to have the item shipped to the closest Greyhound Depot, then you will have to go pick it up.

Years ago, I had complete front and rear black cloth seats from a 90-93 LX 5.0 coupe shipped from PA via Greyhound (had to pick them up at the Trenton Depot)... everything arrived fine.

You could also try going on that one site called “uship”. Sign up, put in what you need shipped and the pick up/drop off points and haulers will bid to get your business. You pick the hauler based on what is an acceptable bid (price point) to you and by reviewing their feedback history. EDIT: here’s the site: https://www.uship.com/

Thanks for the input, I will check them out.

It’s just that the seller is located there and he’s the only one that’s selling 18-19 shadow black hood on Mustang6g right now.
