Like you I am old school as well therefore I also believe that less is more and like order my cars with as many delete items as possible and in the case of this R model it has 16 delete items.
It's my understanding that the early "R's" had many options deleted to reduce weight.
I have deleted 5 things and I have not reduced a single ounce... I removed five of the zeros from my odometer.
Oh sure, they come back occasionally, but that weight reduction didn't do a darn thing!

Delete? Ironic that less costs more than more costs...
Agreed that can happen in some situations but in my case I bought my 3 Base R's anywhere from $61,000 to $64,000 USF which from my standpoint is very quite reasonable even with all of the delete items.

Nice! Space, don't think we've ever crossed paths at the track...what events do you attend?
Nah, I don't do tracks anymore (except to watch). Too old, I suspect. And I've missed every auto show, Porsche event (my other car) and race I had registered for at the beginning of the year!

I’ve only ever tracked out of state: Barber, MSR Houston, COTA, and Utah Motorsports Campus. High Plains is WAY overdue.

We have quite a few GT350 owners on the front range that we see at the track. Pueblo Motorsports Park is also worth your time, it's a super-fun track.
I'm doing an open lapping morning Friday at HPR. I'll also be at the BMW Club event in September and the NASA event in October. PM me if you have questions.

Looks nice... did you do it yourself or have a shop do it?
If I don't say it, the next person will......... how are the locks connected and can we see under the hood to get a better idea?
My '19 has the GT500 shared front carbon fiber core support section that the GT500 hood lock attach to.

Hey brother. I did it myself with my teenage son who's hoping he can inherit it. Took my time because of how anal I am when it comes to the car. Took me about 8 hours to do the center vent, about 3 hours just measuring and measuring. Trust me you want to take your time. The hood locks took me about 5 hours. Again, measuring took about 40% of the time. The process itself is super simple if you have some skill level with tools. The hood locks are the AERO CATCH 130, I think. Google them up. Really do the job and hood doesn't vibrate/shake at all.

With myself being pretty new to gt350 ownership i'm just tossing some feelers out there. I've seen a couple things I like and dislike. I definitely don't want to add the cheap or tacky look of some mods but some i don't mind. I've thought about wrapping the car a wild color but how much is that sacrilegious? I do like to stand out but sometimes its the subtle things that mainly other mustang owners will see and maybe appreciate.
The sight of this in a driver's rear view mirror clears my lane ............
