I like to change the oil just before running Stabil through the fuel system before long term storage so the combustion byproducts are less numerous.

probably ditto from my side compared to all the others...

jack stands to get car off ground (or no-flat ramps) i use both
battery tender
stabil in gas tank (full tank recommended)
make sure you have new oil in and all fluids checked.
leave it sit.
battery tender will keep it charged for first start when you go out in 6mo.
(i also have mine in heated garage, at least 1 of them but both sit on battery tender all winter)

no issues so far (been doing this since 2006)

if i get time i take the wheels off too...but not necessary. mostly for cleaning, then i put them back on but with kids and busy life (as most of you know) doing it all in 1 day is not happening...

Live in SoCal. You can drive summer tires all year round and all you have to do is give up your freedoms, be surrounded by way too many people, tons of traffic, pollution, liberal nonsense, get fired for political views, surround yourself with homeless on drugs, pay way too much in taxes and not be able to mod your car like you want. Perfect!

“BATTERY TENDER“
Question is mostly related to the newer cars with all the electronic crap we have. I realize there are several replies on other posts but wanted to ask here. - ground will go to chassis but are you connecting + positive directly to the battery or a fuse box block. Owners Manual isn’t specific on the positive side, only negative side
Positive connection in the fuse box on the post closest to the battery is how I’ve always done mine.

FIFY.

I actually winterize my car; fresh oil, new wiper blades, winter mix in the windshield washer solvent reservoir. Get it ready for winter driving.

I have been using the Car jacket for 7 years and my undercarriage is as clean as the day it rolled off the assembly line.
Change oil, remove battery, top off fuel add Stabil. dryer sheets (under hood, trunk, cabin and under the car) Zip it up and wait for spring!

Two things happen in the winter out here. I don't have to wash it as much because the monsoons are gone and I get to ring her out deeper in the triple digits more often since the temps aren't in the 110s. Good days are coming!

I bolt on my winter wheels with Michelin Ice-X tires and continue to smile every time I drive her!

Little bit of Stabil, moth balls on each tire, unhook the battery, leave the hood unlatched, cover it up and say "see you in 4-5 months."

I store it indoors in a warehouse with no access to a tender.
