How do I keep raxiom footwell lights on while driving?

I bought a raxiom footwell lighting kit for my 2018 ecoboost mustang but the installation video only shows how to install the lights so that they stay on when the doors open. I'm wondering if there is another way to wire it so the lights stay on while driving, the video shows to splice the kit to a gray wire with a purple stripe in the kick panel on the passenger side, but I've seen some comments saying to get my desired effect I should splice the wire to a purple wire with a white stripe in the same side instead, is this the correct wire to splice it to?

Hey man. I installed the ambient kit from ford and using that cable from the install video works when the doors are opened but goes out 5 seconds after you close it.
I use the harness on the left of that closer to the front of the car and tapped into the yellow striped wire and i have consistent lights when the ignition is on. I honestly don't remember what the stripe color was but you can't miss it.
