Where they still manage to hit something.use an empty Wal-Mart parking lot lol
Sometimes that’s what it takes (trying things out to see if you want to stick with them). Did you capture any of it on video?well that was a little scary. I'm permanently traumatized and will leave tc on LOL
I think I got it out of my system and will return to be a good member of society now
this was as best as I could do, I feel like the lot being at like a 10% decline kept screwing me. Like it kept dragging the car downwards lol and also wasn't sure how to countersteer exactlySometimes that’s what it takes (trying things out to see if you want to stick with them). the vid I watched said to get a rolling start at say 5 mph with the wheel turned halfway, then kick the clutch to break traction and countersteer. or is this the advanced methodIt looks like you’re still driving in circles and kicking the rear end around. This may feel very abnormal when you try it, but you need to start from a dead stop and with the steering wheel at full lock (left ot right. Hold the steering wheel in that position, Rev the engine and dump the clutch quickly to get the party started and continuously feather the accelerator pedal to keep the momentum going. As long as you keep the steering wheel locked in one direction during the process, you’ll have full control. When you want to stop, press the clutch in and and disrupt power to the wheels.
It like like that method is causing the car to drive in a circle instead of drifting around in a circle. That’s fine for a more experienced drift racer, but for a beginner, you have to remove some of the confusion and scariness out of the equation until you start to get it down pat.the vid I watched said to get a rolling start at say 5 mph with the wheel turned halfway, then kick the clutch to break traction and countersteer. or is this the advanced method
I used to take my first car, a 1988 Mercury Topaz, over to the big parking lot at Camp Evans in Wall Township, so I could do backwards donuts and handbrake turns?Doing donuts used to be completely legal in NJ during the frequent snow storms. The only stipulation was no passengers, of course it's more fun with participants, screaming or otherwise.
Overcoming traction in the rear of the Mustang is the easy part, what you do with it afterwards is what litters youboob.
Don't be that guy.
it's be perfect if only the whole lot wasn't at a decline lmaoI'm waiting for the obligatory "Is my car totalled?" follow up thread........
Sounds like you are already for a cars and coffee exit near expendable pedestrians.welp thanks for the help everyone. I had enough fun/near death/car totaled moments and will stick to going fast in a straight line. Got to test out launch control at least and now I use it at every stoplight
nothing like a straight piped mustang fishtailing to make people stop tailgating yoy
