Spent the day fixing my just out of warranty washing machine. New ones are unavailable, estimate to repair it was about what we paid for it new. Tub seal and bearing failed. thank god for Youtube.

My brother works for Trible’s appliance parts. He helps me out a lot on getting parts. Original quote was $968 to repair, included 5 hours of labor. It only made financial sense to repair if I did it myself.
We called a highly recommended Speed Queen repair company. He said he has never seen a failure like this. Just my luck!!!

This is the only thing I miss about growing up in Camillus NY (just outside of Syracuse). But I get over it pretty quickly when I'm washing my car, riding my mountain bike, mowing my lawn, etc. in shorts with a cold beer down here in in sunny Tampa Bay.
