Not sure if I should be excited about this time or not. Running on MH racemasters, first time at the track in years. Cut a 1.8 60ft, was kinda hoping for mid 11's, but it was 80 degrees outside and high humidity, probably high DA. Is 12.20 decent for a MT 17 tune and intake only? Haven't done long tubes yet.

Trap is light but heat and DA prob killed that a little. Not bad.

I would say that is pretty impressive considering the conditions. I haven't seen manuals with your level of mods run that well at my track.

I'm headed back next Wednesday after I remove some more weight and play around with tire pressure. I'm convinced I can go mid 11's on a perfect run. These tires stick like freaking glue. I did ZERO burnout. In fact I just drove through the burnout box like a rookie. Adding racestar front runners and taking out as much weight as possible next week.

I think that's around the density altitude I had that night. It was like 80 degrees, high humidity, track prep was excellent. I haven't ran a car from a dig in years and somehow managed a 1.8 60 ft by dumb luck.

edit: hey I noticed you have racestars as well. What size wheel/tire did you go with up front? I'm about to order the fronts and I'm torn between the 17x7s or 18x5. I like the way the 18x5s look and how light they are but feel like they might be too skinny for a 95% street car.

The dyno that did my car was pretty shocked it put down almost 440HP at the tire without long tubes. Something about that 2018 intake with lockouts and lund tune just works.

Sounds right. I have the same mods but with street tires and ran 12.4 @ 113 with a 1.96 60' and ~2000 DA. Can't figure out what the issue with my trap speed is.

I used a 17x4.5 26” tire. I’ve been street driving them for the past month with no problems. If I did It again I would probably do the 17x7 just because the weight is not that much more and the tires are cheaper then the skinny.

I would think you should do better than that. I run 115 mph with just a Ford performance pack 2 tune.

You have much lighter front wheels and a ton more suspension stuff than me and cut a 1.5 60 ft. Mine was a high 1.8 (1.89 I believe). Not only that I have no idea what I was shifting at, probably not the right rpm lol.

Last time i went to the track I ran a 12.86 @ 117mph with street tires, CAI, Catback, and BAMA tune.

I wasn't knocking you I was just answering your question. Suspension doesn't help your mph. I ran 115 with stock suspension and axles, that's why I didn't talk about 60ft at all. To be honest I ran a 12.0 @ 115 with stock suspension and axles. Bias ply slicks are the ticket for a good 60 ft with a manual. The only reason I went with all the suspension mods was to reduce wheel hop on the street. With slicks there was no wheel hop even with stock suspension. I only upgraded the axles so I could have some faith that I might be able to drive the car home from the track after letting her RIP at 5k. As far as your shifting goes you would probably benefit shifting a couple hundred rpms higher than me. I grab 2nd just before or right at 7k and the rest around 7,100 from. I have been thinking about going with a after market tune but I just love how it drives on the twisties. Plus I think I can shave off a tenth or two with some cool weather. I never ran it below 75 deg since I everything has been done. Good luck and yes I think you could do better! Practice makes perfect!!

Was going to run the car tonight for more practice but realized it was 9 million degrees outside and humidity thick enough to cut it with a knife when I woke up to walk the dog . It would be pretty pointless to run it tonight. I can't wait for fall. I'm so over summer temps and humidity.
