I'm on my second set of hood struts since the Ford Performance ones are junk with the brackets. I've got Redlines on and I can't get my hood even on both sides. I've loosened the hood bolts at the hinges and adjusted the hood front to back. Both sides and the front all measure the same gap. The driver side sits lower than the passenger side. If I adjust the rubber bumpers in the front, it raises the hood some but then becomes uneven by the headlights when I do that. I removed the hood strut on the driver's side and it lines up better. Should I adjust the hood latch to fix this? Not really seeing another way to adjust the hood up or down on each side aside from the rubber bumpers on the front. I checked the redline brackets and everything looks good and it's all straightened and tight. Not sure if there's something weird about the driver's side bracket. Here are some pictures:

Never had an issue with the Ford Performance ones yet. What issue did you have with them on this car?
Passenger side bracket kept turning then ultimately bent when I tightened it further.

I have the same issue with mine. Drivers side hood sits a tad lower than the fender. Thought about using a washer to shim it up.

Where are you using the washers? Strut bracket?

Same issue here , was wondering if was just me or not. Would like to know if this works for you and where you placed washer?

Guess the old prop rod ain't so bad after all?
I'm just glad Ford didn't make prop rods standard so I didn't have to upgrade to a prop-rod.

It's something with the driver's side strut itself because when I remove it, the hood is fine.

I've had the Ford Performance struts for 2 years, no issue other than the 'crooked' alignment of the lower mount. Drove me crazy at first, but now I don't see it.

I had zero issues with redlines on my 17 GT but there's something with this Mach 1 hood throwing it off on the driver's side. I reached out to Redline to see if they have any suggestions.

I'm going to work on it some later today after work to see if I can figure out the cause with the strut.

Let us know what Redline says?
