So many threads about this.

Redline, Ford Performance, Roush, & Steeda are the most popular. Each of these brands has there loyalists so you will not get a consensus of opinion. They are all good so you can go by looks and price as well.

I think the Ford Performance looks the coolest with that Ford Performance Sticker on it. I went wih the Steeda version as it has more meat on the bracket. I’m sure the Ford version is fine but I was concerned about bending the hood wich is probably not a issue.

Either way it’s a great mod and I’m glad I did it.

I can't tell you if it's best, but I went with Ford Permance. I liked having the Ford logo and OEM engineering.

Doolin64 /rock&roll that makes perfect sense to me I do appreciate your feedback. This is why I put this on the forum , and truly hear from someone that actually used the product. Where did you purchase them from ? As bikeman stated now that I have decided on the ford oem performance ones . I need to do a little looking on who has the best price.

Actually, they're not fine. The set I put on my convertible in 2018 will no longer hold the hood up. They stopped lifting the hood about a year after I installed them, and it actually slammed shut a few weeks ago in the driveway shortly after I opened it and walked away. They'll be replaced with Redlines, which is what is on the V6. Buyer beware.

My preference is thr Redline Elite. Used them on 5 different vehicles since 2004, zero issues.
I also, run the redline elites on every vehicle I can. That sweet SS body, have 8 years on my other set, still working great, and NO rust!!
