Just not selling I imagine. The one I found for 61k is in Shock yellow...not my favorite. The 2020 white ZLE I was looking at was at 68K. I've found multiple 2019s in the 61-64 range new. I think the 1LE package is not for most people especially with the rough ride. But they are still making em so no complaints here.

How about this type of yellow?

I told you how I felt about yellow when you bought it lol. But hey you have the world record half mile Demon/ School bus so what can I say now? The Camaro is much more highlighter than school bus.

I would question why a brand new 2020 ZLE w/A10 already needs to be discounted to 61k.
People don't want them due to the excessively rough ride. And my prediction is the OP will have trouble selling his once he decides to do so.

Probably better off with a regular ZL1 rather than a ZLE since you don't seem to be a road course guy. Money no object just buy one and have fun. Although since you are worried about the GT500 costing too much it seems that money is an important factor. The GT500 will probably do better on resale and be much more enjoyable to drive. We don't have full reviews yet but the preliminary reviews most are raving about the GT500.

And if the GT500 is too expensive, a Roush Mustang might be better for you. Much cheaper than the ZL1 and more power.

Seeing as I'm couch bound I will over-indulge the gentleman's request for photos of the stable and hopfefully refute the I don't seem like a road course guy comment. Lol. Included is VIR, Roebling, NCCAR, Bondurant, a couple drag strips, the Kennedy Space center and some fun car meets and my former now undersized garage.

I guess if I had a void it would be pure sports car or older style car which points me to the C8 Z06 or a 65 Cobra rep.

Here's an idea - build a factory five or Superformance with a 5.2L FPC motor.......

Trust me I've thought about it a lot. Got to drive one around NCCAR......amazing. A fellow pilot has built two. It's more of a future project I think though. Like the final step in the saga.

You listed a lot of details that dont really matter.
What does matter:
Is $ a factor?
If not, then debate attributes

If it is, the gt500 will fill every single need you have, and nearly every want.
You admitted to saying you race, 500 is the pinnacle starting point.
You said you already have a 350 because you feel its special, gt500 is 1 notch above that

You can add a 500 to the stable, or, you can get rid of all the rest, as the 500 beats every single other car u have, in every performance aspect.

The #1thing for me, is which car would make me wish i got it, if i didn't, and saw one pull up next to me- and i mean that in the most holistic way.
Hellcats can fit 4 easy, want it, dont want it that bad. Gt350 has FPC, want it, dont want it that bad. Zle, well, honestly, i dont care for anything about that car.

Get the car you would regret not getting

Nice collection. Not to throw a wrench at it but have considered a Cayman 718 GT4? It’s pushing 6 figures but it’s also a Porsche.

As someone who grew up with nothing to where I am now I'd say money is ALWAYS a factor no matter how much you have or don't have. I don't think I'd regret either and love all the ones I have now. It's some serious first world problem shit....but it's a car forum where discussing these topics is part of the fun of the ownership and enthusiast experience. Performance is also not the only metric of a car. The sound of the Voodoo is unbeatable, the whine of the Hellcats supercharger, the smell of the catless exhuast and the pure muscle car -ness of it. I'd not get rid of a one of them. On paper the GT500 out performs them all in stock for stock form. No argument from me here but if that were all this were about there would be no discussion. Clearly for you there is no discussion. We are rowing different boats here....hellcat pun intended.

Love it...love Porsche, love the GT3 and GT2RS....very pricey and I can't bring myself to the European thing yet. Not my style. If I did it'd be McClaren but that out prices my whole stable with additions. Even I'm not that ludicrous yet.

The question to ask is, what will be the primary purpose of the car? This would make all the difference for me, in what trim level of any car I would buy. The ZL1 1LE is a very track-intent trim that can be street driven, but based on my experience behind the wheel of one, it is not forgiving at all when it comes to ride quality on public roads. If the GT500 with the carbon fiber package (also a track-intent trim) is anything like the GT350R, then it will offer a much better ride on the street but still deliver on the track. Now, considering you have a non-R GT350, there's nothing I can tell you about that car that you don't already know.

If you are more interested in street manners/strip performance, then either the non-1LE ZL1 or non-CF GT500 would likely be more in your wheelhouse. Both will offer great bang for the buck. Personally, I would prefer a GT500 to a ZL1, despite the price discrepancy, because I think the aesthetics are better on the Shelby and it has the DCT. I look at magazine tests just like I do dyno numbers. There are so many factors that can affect those numbers that they are not an accurate indicator of how one car will perform compared to another. They just offer data points. Ultimately, your skill level/comfort with the car is going to dictate the outcome, not the raw capability of each car. Even in a same day/same driver/same track test, there are still too many variable to declare one car "better" than another, from strictly a performance standpoint. Too many times people like to think blowing out another person's candle makes theirs glow brighter, thus they hype test results that favor their chosen make/model/trim while downplaying the competitor featured in the test.

If you are buying the car simply to take out on nice days/cars-n-coffee, then ride quality/track capability, etc. doesn't really matter, so why spend the extra money on features you will never take advantage of?

I'll jump in with more questions than answers if you guys don't mind....

I've never had a cobra, GT350 or GT500. But I have had a mustang GT and it seemed like a normal car - good visibility, not in your face in terms of looks, ride was fine.

I'm expecting the GT500 to meet or exceed these daily driving type standards in all respects.

The ZL1 has well documented visibility issues. the rear view mirror isn't even a mirror, right? It's a camera. And people here have mentioned a harsh ride. I've heard supercharger whine on my S4 for the past 7 years and I'm done with hearing it. Everything Camaro from the SS on up has a "boy racer" vibe to me that the GT500 lacks (or it's optional, like the stripes and snack pack wing).

Anyway... I firmly believe that the GT500 is just a better car.

If you are looking for the one car that does it all experience the GT500 is hands down the best choice. You get no argument from me. But I'm coming from a different perspective already owning great cars I love and drive....a lot. If I could only have one I'd pick the GT500 assuming I could ditch the family car.....which I can't so in reality it'd be the Hellcat Charger. My particular interests and case a just a lil different as it is for each of us.

I genuinely appreciate all the inputs and discussion thus far gents. My couch leash comes off tomorrow and I'll be taking the 350 for a spirited ride in celebration.

EDIT: Saw your avatar and thought you were somebody else but I think that still aplies?
