I avoid my dealerships service at all costs unless it's warranty work. My last two visits were them mounting a back wheel on the front of my car, and before that I got a flat tire from their parking lot lol.Was just curious to see how many people do their own maintenance at home or if you go to the dealership or elsewhere.
3 ring binder, cheap, easy to use, easy to make copies if needed, great at resale, great if warranty work is needed, no worrying if the hard drive fails, or printer is out of ink. What’s the easiest way to keep track of everything in case you need warranty work?
Thought about just making a dedicated file on the PC and scanning/dating receipts.
Jesus. That’s organized alright lol.3 ring binder, cheap, easy to use, easy to make copies if needed, great at resale, great if warranty work is needed, no worrying if the hard drive fails, or printer is out of ink.
I have done this with every vehicle I own, along with gas receipts , I do photocopy any receipts that are thermal paper that fades.
Fuel receipts show proof of low mileage , might not be as big a deal now with the digital odom. but on the mechanical that can be rolled back, it made it easy to prove the miles on the car. That car the oil aged out almost never needed to be changed because of miles driven between changes.Jesus. That’s organized alright lol.
I do the same thing. 3 ring binder with any receipts and a maintenance log. Although I keep a scanned copy of each document in my storage cloud as anything could happen to a paper copy. A fire, water damage, theft, etc.3 ring binder, cheap, easy to use, easy to make copies if needed, great at resale, great if warranty work is needed, no worrying if the hard drive fails, or printer is out of ink.
