Is the above normal? I've checked (1) 2018 model and 3 other 2016s on carmax to compare my car's rear seats and they all had the holes.

Does everyone else have this problem? Is this a normal issue for these cars to have? I feel like their supposed to be sewn in.

The second picture is from an owner with only 4K miles... the 1st pic had 7K miles. If they are supposed to be sewn in and because like that after any use... ah ford... I may just prefer to have the Rear Deleted. The dealership sent the photos to Ford to warranty but Idk.

I just checked the Bullitt online at a local ford dealer and it's new still. Has the same problem. If it's for securing a child I'd like to know more on that because at the moment it aesthetically looks bad. The convertibles don't have the same seat as us and they use a different seat model without any holes.

Those holes are for securing a child car seat. They're supposed to be there. See below:

Thanks but I plan on having no children so aesthetically I'm not too pleased. All jokes aside, I do think mine are a bit wider than usual though so I guess I'll let them figure it out if it's been stretched. I appreciate you solving the case.

Close the thread and hopefully that answers anyone else that had questions regarding this too.

OP if you're comfortable with it you could get some upholstery stitching and a needle and sow them up. Or have a interior shop near you do it. Depends on how much its bothering you though! I sowed up a seat in my old GTI once and it wasnt as bad as you would think.

Dang. The good news is no one other than kids can fit back there so no one will see them.

I would try ignoring the holes. I don't even look back there.

The holes are more pronounced with cloth upholstery; the leather upholstery is more ridgid and instead of looking like unsewn or poorly stitched upholstery, they appear as slits.

You could go to a well known local upholsterer in your area and they can remove the lower seat cushion and sew them up to make the eyesore disappear.
