"Hold override special build" for the gt500?

My dealer is telling me this is the message he got from Ford on my order. Anyone know what this is?

To me that sounds like "Sorry, we're going to delay your build cause Jay Leno wants another one"

I think it means your hold status for a build date has been cancelled due to options not being allowed in the specific configuration input by the dealer. Hope I'm wrong for your sake, but wish you all the best!

He said it also went from a priority 10 to a priority 1. I called ford performance today after talking to the dealer and they said it went from unscheduled material hold to unscheduled clean

You have an allocation! Next is a VIN and build date. Congrats.

Thank you. I ordered on 5/4 and i know others ordered earlier and are still waiting. I just hope ford can get all these cars built as soon as possible

It sounds like you took over a dealer (stock) ordered car and the dealer updated it as a Retail order so it would speed up the scheduling. Retail (customer) ordered cars are considered special orders and have a higher priority than the cars ordered for stock.
