I hear that the official reveal (in person) is to be in Tulsa on Thursday at 7 p.m. (46th Mid America For and Shelby Nationals).

Here we go again - the automatic version doesn't get all the goodies. It's the standard Ford middle finger to the automatic crowd.

"The Handling Package, which is available only with the manual transmission, adds a large front spoiler, extra spats at the wheel arches and a Gurney flap on the rear spoiler."

RE: wheels and tires: "The Handling package gets a different set that are an inch wider, going from 9.5 inches to 10.5 inches at the front, and from 10 to 11 inches at the rear."

Was hoping for the 7 speed from the GT500. Love the white and the new front fascia.

And what does the A10 version have? The same lame 255 / 275 setup found on the regular GT performance pack and Bullit??

I feel conflicted by your dilemma. On one hand I feel like slushbox drivers should be offered the same goodies. On the other, I think that Ford still has enthusiasts running the show and the Mach 1 clearly is an ode to manual cars.

If they really had enthusiasts and wanted a track capable car they would have given it the 7-speed from the GT500 or the Tremec from the GT350 as drive train options.

I like to disassemble things.
The DCT would have bumped the price point way up.

Mach 1 has the same 3160 from the GT350. And no way could they stuff the Tremec DCT in it without having to bump the price at least 5k.

My old ā€˜69 with the 390, toploader, and shaker. Iā€™m kinda liking this new Mach 1 and might need to get in line.
