Hi Everyone,

I'm about to pull the trigger on a new 2020 Mustang GT. Looking for a premium with 401A and A10.

I'm in CA and will have the Roush Stage 1 Supercharger installed right away. My question is, are there any factory options I shoulder consider such as the GT performance package or magneride? Is the performance package and magneride worth it from the factory vs going aftermarket? Any opinion on the Recaro seats? They are hard to find in So Cal.

Get the pp with the magneride. Are you able to get the phase 2? I would do that over the phase 1. I don't care for the recaro seats. Heated and cooled seats are nice.

I don't think the PP2 is available with the A10

Stage 2 is the car, mine for example. Phase 2 is the Supercharger version also what I have.

As far as the question get pp1 with magneride for sure. Don't waste your time with the phase 1 sc. Oh and unless you are really good with a stick, get A10.

just my $.02. I am looking for the same thing, but I will go whipple. pp1 auto came with 3.55 gear and a lot of people said to get 3.15 instead because of the 7th gear going down the 1/4mile. that's why I am not getting a pp1 car, but just a 401a car with auto. something to think about.

I have the same car in a 2019. I wish I had gotten the magneride. I agree with JMToast. Get the Phase 2 as opposed to phase 1, a better cooler. I would also go with Roush as opposed to whipple to keep your warranty. I would hate lose a warranty right out of the gate. Roush is plenty power for the street.

I am going Phase 1 with Roush to obtain the CARB sticker for emissions in CA. I would upgrade to Phase 2 afterwords, but need that CARB EO sticker. I'll look into going straight to Phase 2.

Are the 3.15 gears preferred over the 3.55 with PP1?

Edit: Looks like Phase 2 is CARB certified. Phase 2 it is then.

Shop around and search nationwide. I had my car shipped from NY. It's just how it worked out for me to get exactly what I wanted and I couldn't be happier.

Got Recaros and Magneride. Absolutely love both. Would highly recommend the optional active exhaust as well.

All Roush cals are compliant. 3.55 gears are preferred by most. I assume you’re not starting a drag build by the fact you’re going Roush so go ahead and get PP1. Everything else included in the pp1 is worth it.

Not building a drag car, just something fun for the weekends. Maybe a few trips to the drag strip

I would go for the performance package due to better tires, suspension, gearing, improved radiator for cooling, and bigger brakes to help slow the car down. Personally I feel a supercharged car needs these upgrades anyways so might as well get them from the factory.

I have a 2020 GT with Roush Supercharger. It is a beast. I would consider the 400a to get the old school gauges. They match the Pod gauges dead on. You can swap out the vacuum gauge for the EcoBoost vacuum/boost gauge. I have a GT PP1 manual car and love it. PP1 is a good starting point for a blowe.

My brother-in-law bought a mustang last night with 401a and A10. He paid 45k OTD. I got to hoon around in it and was a blast, felt as fast as my modified Q50.
Anyone know if Roush installs in So Cal? I called Galpin and Ken Grody and they both charge around $2400 for installation.
