I for one feel the base PP1 car handled pretty good for a street car, its just not quite what I am used to though coming out of a BMW M car. I think a lot of that is the weight and size difference of the cars. My E92 M3 came in at just over 3600lbs and the E92 M3 is quite small vs. a S550 Mustang. Whats funny is when the E92 came out after my E46 M3 I thought "my God, look at the size of this thing!"

A new 3 series is the size of a 10 yr. old 5 series now. The main issue for the S550 PP1 car is the shocks to be honest. The car just doesn't feel buttoned down at speed. I love the way my car handles now with the FR Track kit and more aggressive size and offset wheels. The front still doesn't track as well as an E92 M3 but then again not to many cars do, but the rear coming out of the corners under load is fantastic in this car.

Considering that the Mustang uses same suspension and underlying design as the BMW M4 I guess is not that hard for them to do suspension closer to the M4 however we are still back to the topic that this is a GT car and for a GT car the PP1 suspension is super impressive as it's doing good on the race track but also on a mountain road with potholes. I'm sure the M suspension will not be so forgiving over ruff roads.

I had a 2013 BMW E92 M3 with the competion package. The shocks and struts on the car were quite good. That being said, the car in normal mode was still stiffer than my S550 with the FR Track kit.

We had a BMW E92 M3 (tunned) and My PP1 Mustang with just Cambe Plates and Sway Bar handled to a Pro racing Driver (Pavel Lefterov) back to back at my local track (2km long) and the cars were in the same tenth of the second with slide advantage for the E92 but this mean cars are dead even. Even though the E92 M3 suspension is much firmer than the PP1.

What tires on the E92? I had 275/295 setup on a 19x10 and a 19x11.

Lovely car Red is amazing. Not sure what the tires size was but the car was amazing in snow white. I'm on 275/35 square though on the PP rims.

Love my Mustang but miss my M3, not to mention the fact 6 mos. after selling her I am getting offer on the cars higher than what I sold it for. Sold her for almost $38k, someone just PM'd me if I still want to sell and offered me $40K!! For an almost 8yr. old E92 M3, yes it only had 38k miles on her but they really are starting to creep on in value already. IMHO, the E92 M3 with MT will be a collectors soon, financially I am beginning to think it was a mistake to sell it.

has nothing to do with your car. It's market distortion caused by Covid mania.

Im sure that is part of it, but they were holding their value way before Covid.

E92 M3s will continue to soar...the last generation of hydraulic power steering is a big factor imo.
And last gen of NA V8...lovely car. Considered it before getting the s550 but the rod journal issues scared me a little. It's a collector's but it will require lot of TLC and $$$ to mantain

Agreed. At the end of the day old cars are still old cars and have their problems.

For me the S550 is the best overall value now, and in a few years I’ll likely be in the S650...though I might have a E92 335i in the garage for special occasions

Was able to test drive a 19 PP1 today. It had the summer tires on it, I'm real surprised the dealer let me drive it. They don't have a clue.

I took it on the freeway until the tire pressures went up to 35. Then I pushed it.

Yes it is better than the base, but still needs mods to control the IRS movement.
