Hey guys!

I just ordered Katzkin cardinal red leather and the shop I found on the website quoted me $600 just for the install!!! Which is ridiculous if you ask me. Does anyone know where I can find a good reliable shop in the Dallas area with a lower price? Thanks for the help!

I installed Katzkins leather in my DD Sonata a few years ago. All of the shops in Fort Worth wanted $1000+ for install, so $600 is very reasonable in comparison. I ended up installing the kit myself over the course of a weekend. There were about 175,000 hog rings on the Sonata, so it took forever and was a pain in the ass. I've read that the Mustang kit does not require hog rings, so the install should be significantly easier if you choose to do it yourself.

so it your self! I installed that same leather kit. Only tools needed are xacto knife and hog ring pliers. I have a thread on here with some tips.

Thank you! I'm going to consider doing it myself.

I'm considering it to save money! How long was your install and where can I find your thread? Thank you ahead of time.

Installed myself

I installed some factory leather take offs myself. It took me about 6 hours. I would never pay to have it done. You don't even really need the hog ring pliers. I used zip ties. I'm local, feel free to hit me up if you need some tips.:D
