Help: '18 GT has clicking noise when I turn steering wheel

Svc guy finally got the mechanic and as best he can remember passenger side near k member. He said he checked so many its hard to remember exactly. by the way only 2-3 single "clicks" this whole week so far

Sure does, my dealer called and postponed today's appointment as he's low on technician's, so two Fridays from now. I'm going to try myself with my wife turning the wheel and me trying to locate it.

Just in case anyone was wondering, it will make the "clicking" sound with the hood open as well.

Now that I've had it back for awhile no issues, seems what they replaced (strut bearing mounts) did the trick. Hopefully you all have had similar success.

Just returned from the dealer. Here is what they found:

Verified customer concern, found left front shock tower causing popping noise. Ordered parts: FR3Z3A197B, FR3Z5A306A

They will get the parts later next week. I will update

Lexxx that’s the same parts they replaced on rickdrews car and he reports its fixed.

I have a 16’ gt and it started tonight. It does it on steering, bumps, and braking. Might be a ball joint going bad honestly. Who knows, I’ll check on a lift.

Still haven't got my 18 GT looked at yet, figured I would wait until it's 6 month delivery day which is March, April 19 just in case something else comes up. Really good information we get here to share with the dealers!

My 2018 GT PP1 is now making this clicking noise when I back out of my garage. Has anyone received a conclusive diagnosis from a dealer on this? Would there happen to be a TSB on this issue? Thanks

I sold mine before I got it attended to and bought an F150 Platinum 4x4.

I loved being back in a GT, but after refresher traffic citation training, I realized, even though I'm 49, I still loved to "Play" with my Pony, yes safely, not Cars and Coffee play!

My 2019 GT PP1 is doing it to, but not all the time. Usually its when im backing up and making a tight turn and going over a bump or the newspaper lying on the edge of the driveway. LOL some days its LOUD!
