Holla……I’m in Missouri City. Do you recommend any shop that will touch your Mustang for aftermarket/performance parts?

Sugar Land here... You might see me around when the car isn't in the garage hiding out ;)

I've been out of the game for a while, but I'd be looking for a shop that specifically focuses on Mustangs for at least a good portion of their business. Specializing in one specific model makes for much better informed mechanics.

That said, I don't know of many shops that turn down work. The exception would be removal of smog equipment (specifically cats). If you're doing LTs and no cats you may run into issues (not just with finding a shop to do it, but with keeping the car legally registered and inspected, unless you have 'a guy').

I personally prefer keeping the cats (or swapping to high-flow cats), because catless cars reek and are not so fun to drive on the street. Choke yourself out in the drive-thru at Whataburger :p

It's far away from me down in Southwest, but a lot of the Mustang guys swear by Chris' Car Doc in humble. Mustang guys. https://www.facebook.com/Chriscardoc/

Hey y’all, I’m down in Galveston. Anyone know of any good shows coming up?

Nice car! I love the color. Velocity Blue?

Not sure if you mean formal "shows" or also just "meets." I prefer the more casual meet format most of the time. There are a metric ton of different events on Facebook, so I suggest you be like us old people and get on Facebook, where you can find tons of groups, shows, meets.

For example...

Thanks! It’s Lightning Blue. I haven’t seen many others and as far as I know they stopped offering it in 2018. They offered it on the Bronco for the limited launch edition.

Informal meets are more my style as well. I hit up Detail Garage South Houston every now and then for their cars and coffee type events. And the Home Depot in Kemah has a pretty good meet on the weekends.

Oh wow. We should make a point to meet up at an event. My 2017 F150 is Lightning Blue! I thought I recognized that color.

Right on! Looks like she’s in great shape. I’ll be sure to holler before I go to any meets

Northern Bellaire
I've been in the Houston area most of my life and never heard anyone say "northern" Bellaire, hehe. Is Bellaire really big enough to need to get more specific than "Bellaire"? :) :) Just messing with ya. Hopefully will see you out at some meets. There seems to be a ton of them these days and the spring will be crazy!
